Hi All,
I am looking into leasing a new car and could use some help. I’ve browsed the forums passively, and last time I needed to get my wife a car I went with a broker here in MA (Leasard).
I am looking at this Volvo S60 for me. It is a leftover '17 with 7K miles, assuming that is was a loaner. Looks like a great car, wish it was AWD but regardless seems to be priced pretty well.
I would like to lease, and preferrably with $0 down. I see alot of activity around Volvos on this forum and wondering what should be my ‘next steps’. Should I just contact the dealer or do I prepare with some numbers before do?
Sorry if my question is very basic. Not looking to offend anyone here, just hoping to score a good deal.
Look at 2018 S60 Inscriptions for the best leases- lower MF should be 0.00022 without looking. The lease cash is likely $7,000, but still payments around $400 roughly.
I feel this is a terrible deal. Base 2019 S60. I think come summer time there will be way better incentives as the 2020s approach. Loved my test drive but feel I could have gotten a cheaper S90.
I took the T6 Inscription for a test drive yesterday. Did not like the pillar’s position - had to kind of go around it while exiting the car to avoid bumping my shoulder into it. Don’t have this in my current S60, nor in my previous one. No idea if they shortened front doors’ openings.
Momentum trims don’t have leather option and leatherette did not look good to me at all. But V60 have leather and no leatherette. Go figure.
Thanks. I actually did that few weeks ago. I don’t think they will let me do it twice for the gift card.
I looked at the pics, and it is kind of sad to see that most have that small center display as in the lower trims (not the one that has the 12" screen). It does look pretty good though! The new 3 series will be an interesting one to try.
was offered a high 658 a month 36/10 on a T5 R-Design, S60 MSRP was 47,590 with only 2k discount. Won’t be getting with this brand anytime soon…the car looks really nice tho.
Would be nice if they had some kind of incentives - car way too new
Sounds about right. The car hit dealership lots only a couple of weeks ago so dealers are being very stingy with the discounts they give. They also see this car as more “premium” than the last, so expect that to factor into the price.
For reference, I got an online quote for a T5 momentum with options on Friday, and with A-Plan discount ($~42K final sales price LOL), we were looking at high 500s for 12K miles and like $3.5K out of pocket. For a car that has leatherette? I don’t think so. At least a Benz loaner with MB Tex can be had for less.
A more local dealer wanted $670+ tax, $3.5K out of pocket for a T6 R-design at MSRP of $48K “after all applicable incentives”. I don’t see these leasing well for a while, and definitely not as well as the previous S60 model. I can’t see Volvo doing all they can to take this car upmarket, just to discount it $8K-10K before incentives and jack up the RVs to low 60s again to get them out the door. There will be good deals, but maybe not that $300/mo loaded S60 deal anymore. Still could be a very good bang-for-the-buck considering the standard equipment, eventually.
Also, idk if this is true, but someone on Swedespeed said that dealers do not have to offer incentives, such as A-Plan, pull-ahead, loyalty on brand new Volvos. Obviously, you want to go to the ones that do, but its not surprising they’re playing hardball with this car.
