I owe 8217 on my current car, they offered 9000 and 600 towards tax? So 9,600 total. I don’t completely understand that part. 3000 down 36/10000 for 399 a month. Would have been 392 but I want a white one that they have to ship in. I want to talk them down at least another 500 on the down payment, since it is 3000 plus the equity in my trade in. Overall is this a decent deal? First time leasing a car. Thank you
If there is anything you don’t 100% understand as you admit and have no hard numbers simply ask them for the worksheet. Rest assured when they want your money in they will have it all rock solid and on paper. No need to play hide and seek, just ask to make it clear.
The $600 savings they are talking about is the fact that if the dealer buys your trade, they do not have to pay sales tax on that purchase. If you buy the car, you have to pay sales tax.
Where is that $3000 going? I suggest not putting any money down on a lease. No Cap cost reduction. But the numbers seems decent based on an MSRP of $36k and a 55% residual.
Hello Lease Hackr Community. Can I get your thoughts on the below lease?
2019 Subaru Limited WRX
MSRP: 33,128
Selling Price: 29,696
MF: .0009
RV: 54%
Tax: 8.4%
0 Down (Except First Payment)
$425 a month
Thanks!
I just plugged your numbers in the calculator - comes to $356 with tax, zero drive off. So, something is really off…
I get $420 on the Lease Hackr Calculator? Score of 6.9 years.
You are right. I messed up the selling price. Sorry. In any event, not a good deal in my opinion…
Appreicate the feedback. What would you counter with? I was going to go back at $410 a month.
Offer $28,000 that looks like it should get your monthly payment around $370. That’s decent for a WRX limited imo. Try and find a Subaru ambassador that can give you a $500 coupon.
Hi guys I’m new here and new to leasing or buying a new car for that matter. So leasing a WRX Premium is not a good idea? Is it better to buy/finance. I’m in zip code 07016. Oh I really like that series gray color. Thanks.
