Good deal? Hyundai Ioniq 5 SEL AWD $387/mo, 24mo/12,000mi, $1724 DAS

This is the quote I received from Hyundai for Ioniq 5 SEL AWD… This is my first time leasing a car and I’m super confused despite all the hours of Youtube videos and forums. Can anyone help? Is this a good deal? How else can I negotiate?

$1724 upfront fees + taxes + 1st month payment
$387 per month

The only way to effectively negotiate is to start with putting together a target deal for what this should cost first. You can’t negotiate effectively if you don’t know where you’re trying to get to.

Step back and don’t speak numbers with another dealer until you have a well-researched target deal put together. Once you can describe what a good deal is om this and why, then consider approaching dealers with your offer to them.

Solid advice! I saw a signed deal for $310/mo, 36/12K, first payment DAS so I know I can get lower monthly payments.

According to Edmunds, it’s .00161 MF and 60% residual. $14,000 for 24 mo/12K.

What am I doing wrong with my calculations? Something is very off. Thanks in advance!

If you are referencing this deal then you have to subtract $3,500 of state rebates from MA and add any that you can get from your state.

Incentive are generally taxed. Your offer sheet shows $16500 in combined discount/incentives, so with $14k in incentives, that wouls make your selling price $2500 under msrp. Youre currently showing it being $7500 under msrp.

Your fees are off too from what their sheet shows.
