Does the sales discount include any incentives? Looks like a great dealer price

Thanks spaceworm, and thanks to this forum!

so far just the mfg 1000 rebate, i have a 1000 USAA certificate and the 500.00 true car as well.

I brought those with me to be ready to sign, but then I started to waffle between 2 models and so didn’t sign on one yet.
the 2 models - the RWD sport that has a lot of safety and tech ($$), which is the one I shared the quote on - and an AWD TI with Nero that I can get in for less at 412/mo for 24/10, or 437 36/10. I really love the NERO wheels especially, but it has a color combo I like less, and while the safety features were not important to me at the outset, I wanted to take a day to 1.) think about it and 2.) give the other dealer one last go, and 3.) come back and drive the AWD another day.

Hate to be hasty and sign in excitement (it was a such a satisfying drive).

I never would have dreamt to ask for 20% off if I had not been on here. He started at 10%, we worked it to 16 pretty quickly, and everyone here is right- research, know your stuff, be nice, deal straight, have some finesse, and we got there!

36 months at 10k miles or 12k miles. Your OP says 12k, but the calculator you linked is 10k. Nevertheless looks like a good deal, but the MF is marked up a tad.

sorry, 10s! All are 10

A 24 month term would be cheaper per month. Much better residual.

Yah! I also like the 24 for keeping me from likely having to do anything with the tires.

This is what I got offered on the two models, 24 v 36, all 10k, and all other components the same (no cash DP, just TTR and 1st mo):

on the RWD sport with safety and tech (MSRP $50,490):
24 @ 467.87/ mo. 36@ 481.13/mo ~13/ mo diff

On the AWD TI with Nero and much less tech (MSRP $48,140)
24 @412.44/ mo, 36@ 437.32
~25/ mo diff

The cheaper AWD is green with chocolate / black interior and the grey wood grain. I don’t mind the green or chocolate black interior, but together, plus add the grey wood grain accents…Feels pretty dark and dreary inside. I normally dont care much about color, but this is a total pleasure car for me, and “bleak” or “sad” is not how I want to describe the interior, where I experience the car from!

Thanks, BTW!

Lets see what @tbenfit thinks of your quotes. He’s much more knowledgeable on AR than me.

I like 24/10 more too because I hear the 30k maintenance can be $$$ plus tired like you mentioned. You didn’t qualify for conquest? I’ve seen others get an additional 1k retail cash as well, maybe it’s not stackable with USAA.

Good deal!

I would like to see the final numbers when you sign. I prefer the 24M too but that doesn’t guarantee no tire issues as it will depend on how you drive. This car is fun to drive!

16% is a good number there is actually $2k in dealer cash and they are using $1k towards the 16% discount and $1k in rebate. I personally like to negotiate without the rebates/incentives involved so know the exact discount I’m getting. With that being said I believe there is only about $500 left on the table for what I would have shot for but this is a strong deal! The only other thing I would address is the marked up MF. Maybe they will give you the $500 more off or reduce the MF.

Side note. See if you can use conquest!

Nice deal, Enjoy your Alfa!

will look in to conquest! I hadn’t heard of it - I’m not trading in any my current car isn’t luxury, its a VW.
I still have USAA and TrueCar certificates in my back pocket, so I will see if I can get them on top.

I’ll ask about the MF as well.

Thanks, y’all, I am feeling pretty good about this now! Will post my final signed deal.

@tbenfit
Can you help to confirm if its 2k dealer cash on the stelvio here in so-cal? On edmunds they said its 1k? The Guilia they say its 2k.

I believe there is $2k in dealer cash. Every place I negotiated had my incentives as followed…$1k loyalty $500lease return and $2k dealer cash total of $3500

Just a pair of coupons for $500 each.

Thank you Benedetto

Maybe 2k is just for central coast & nor cal? I was quoted 2k off as well.

@tbenfit final verdict,

I bought the RWD Sport with Nav and the 2 safety packages, dual pane moonroof, and the 20 inch wheels with yellow brake calipers. Opted out of the AWD that was much cheaper. I know, I’m a sucker.

I didn’t get him to move on the MF, and no conquest - he said he used to get it and now it is LA county but N/A in San Diego, and everyone brings it to him and he can’t apply it. Not sure about all that…

I got 500 USAA applied on top of the calculator I posted. My final is $464.01 24/10.

I still can’t believe it’s mine!

Now I need to hunt down some proper cargo storage accessories.

ALSO, I saw a poster ask me for the dealership and I can’t seem to find the post now but will keep looking - it’s a tiny Alfa dealer in San Diego on Convoy Drive, talk to Hector. Total straight shooter. He is smarter than his 1st impression, easy going, straight shooter. Glad we made it happen and I could buy my car with him (instead of those jerks in Carlsbad, who had 6x the inventory and every advantage).

Congrats! It’s gonna make you wanna drive

If you can post your numbers we can take a look at how it went down. Honestly I would like to see how transparent Hector was.

Enjoy!

Congratulations. Post some pics for us  Yesterday I saw a dark blue one with the yellow calipers and it looked awesome.
Why didn’t they take the whole 1k usaa?
SD dealers are so special to deal with, always have to drive to LA for a good deal.
