GMC Sierra 1500

Hello,

I’m new here and I’m hoping to get some help. I recently went to 2 dealerships near me here in Austin,TX to try and lease a GMC Sierra elevation.

Msrp- 48000

They came back at $600 a month with $1k down! That just seems outrageous. That was for 36 months and 12k a year.

What am I doing wrong? I’ve seen a couple of post where people are paying $350-450 a month.

I keep getting “its a lease and there is no discounts on a lease”

Definitely not true.
Not much discount as if you are financing, but lease shouldn’t be much different

Lease program on the Elevations is pretty terrible right now. Very few incentives, very little dealer discount and bad MF/RV compared to AT4/Denali. You would be much better off looking at a lesser equipped Denali, it would be about the same payment but the MSRP is closer to $60K. If you insist on an Elevation, you will pretty much need supplier and loyalty/conquest to get into a reasonable payment rage. You may also want to look into a non-captive like Ally.

If you are looking for a lower payment, I would consider the Ram 1500.

I see the Denali are going for $459 and $2k down. When I bring this up they dismiss it and say they can’t do that. That I would need to put down $5k to get close to that payment.

I appreciate all the feedback and help.

A base Denali w/ supplier pricing and loyalty or conquest should be about $630/mo with first payment due at signing.

My guy at Covert is gone but they will let you hack a deal. Elevation numbers are bad. But the first thing you have to do is a- Research, read archived threads on approach and use edmunds to get current rates RV and MF b- Email c- repeat b.

If you know the numbers then it becomes an easier conversation.

I wish i knew more about this so I could get a decent deal. Seems like no dealership near me wants to work with me. I’m going to keep researching threads and see what I can fine.

Is the “discounts and rebates dont apply to leases” true?

Here are a few Leasing 101’s that might help: https://leasehackr.com/blog?category=Leasing%20101

Expand your search radius… You’ll hear of folks reaching 100, 200 or more miles out. If you’re sure of the numbers and what’s doable, all you need is one dealer to say yes. Good luck!

Completely false. Discounts and rebates (if they have it) DO apply to leases.

Thank you. I will definitely give this a read

There are no bonus cash incentives on Sierra 1500 leases right now.

You could still qualify for supplier pricing, loyalty and/or conquest.

There is a bonus cash incentive on a purchase.

The bonus cash incentive they said doesn’t qualify for a lease. I just reached out about the denali lease GMC has online. The guy said thats just an ad and you would need $7k down to even get close to that payment. Its almost laughable

Where are you seeing this?

What does the fine print say?

Payments may vary. 2020 gmc sierra denali with an MSRP of 56,695. 39 monthly payments

Incentives can vary based upon being a lease or a purchase. So make sure what lease incentives you qualify for. I believe there were some post of people getting a Sierra lease through Ally because their residuals were better than GM and you could also capture the financing rebates since Ally is buying the car from the dealer then leasing it to you.

Silverado and Sierra seems to be going at that price. I’m in the market for lease, and found a dealer in Iowa selling Silverado 4x4 crew cab $48k cloth seats (AllStar Edition - I think it’s Midwest Specific couldn’t find anything on Chevys website). Due at sign $1k and $461 mo including 7% tax for 36/10k. The sales guy said conquest was applied to it, because of my current Infinti lease.

Looks like I might just have to wait. I’ve spoken to 5 dealerships and so far nobody is willing to budge. Best I’ve gotten is $550
