Hi
A friend gifted me a Supplier F&F discount code. It’s good for an additional $1000 off. I signed up for Rate Findr and it appears I am able to stack the code.
However two different dealers told me that it only discounts off of MSRP and I can use the $1k off or take the dealer discount.
I’m looking to lease a 2024 loaner Lyriq.
Is that correct? Or is there something I can show to the dealer that it is stackable with a dealer discount.
I’m looking at two different Sport 2s and the dealer discount is already pretty good size of $10k but I’d love to get the extra $1k of possible.
Thanks!
No. They are thinking supplier pricing which is different. Supplier incentive (I think code GMF?) is on top of dealer discounts.
Supplier pricing and incentive cannot be combined.
Thank you! I just emailed me of the dealers and I’ll see what they say. I also found this page which talks about the Employee incentive.
I couldn’t find anything about Supplier EV incentive though.
I’m pretty sure that site only applies to GEX and GMS codes. I think friends and family is the same as supplier, but someone smarter than me can chime in.
This is the link for Supplier: https://www.gmsupplierdiscount.com/vehicles/
Not for all cars.
I just leased a Cadillac XT6. I was trying to get the dealers “Ad Price” knowing I wasn’t eligible for the Lease Loyalty rebate of $2,500. My salesman found that I was eligible for a Lease Conquest rebate of $1000 and the Supplier Discount. While the Supplier Discount for my model is advertised as a discount off MSRP, they did use it to make up the difference and get me the exact advertised price. Having the supplier code definitely provides value back to the dealership somehow.
Here is my take on this somewhat can direct me if it’s not accurate . Some dealers only will use supplier price and others will do a dealer discount plus the supplier kick back amount for coding it a supplier sale. I believe the dealer gets a kick back for part of the supplier price discount from General Motors and the other part of it they have to eat as the dealer . So if the supplier price on the invoice is $2000 less the dealer kicks in 1000 and they get $1000 kickback . The ev supplier code rebate is a bit different and works like a straight 1000 rebate.
This is the answer. Supplier pricing allows the dealer to go deeper. It’s obviously better for them to simply give you the supplier price so that’s how most sell it.
Is there a list of how much the kickback is per vehicle or brand or category?
You can get the supplier price off the invoice but from what I was told the kickback is around 50%. Calculation would be Invoice price less supplier price equals supplier discount multiplied by 50% is roughly the kickback if they coded it as a supplier transaction
Aah this is very helpful. Is employee kickback also 50%?
I am not sure how employee works, but it looked like the employee discount was about double the supplier discount. When I bought my Camaro, the supplier price was about 1800 under invoice and the dealer was willing to put the entire $900 kickback into the deal. The price I negotiated on the car was far lower than the supplier price so essentially I got the better dealer discount plus the dealers kickback for coding it as a supplier transaction. I don’t know if this is true, but I’ve had dealers tell me that they can get into some sort of trouble if they code sales as supplier, but sell them for less than the supplier price on the invoice
Hello, any advice on how to communicate that the EV Supplier is a rebate?
I’m gettin the same runaround as you where they are giving me a choice of dealer discount or supplier pricing
