I am in the same boat.
I was charged for usage fee on my leased bolt. And my SOC is complete.
I’m thinking of reopening the case with repurchase coordinator to get the money back.
If you found any documentation please share. I will try the BBB as well
Its a done deal you wont get anything back.
Also usage is calculated and collected based on State Lemon Laws regardless of lease/finance.
Look into your states lemon laws and inquire with your states lemon law office.

I’ve seen no Usage fees in the state of Texas, while I am charged for the same.
I wouldn’t stress on anything besides release of liability. GM messed up my docs so they just fedex the paperwork to resign like transfer of ownership.

My targeted production week was August 8th and my repurchase coordinator was able to access the invoice on September 9th, so a little less than a month from actual completion of the vehicle to the invoice being generated, at least for me.

Thanks for the information! Appreciate the courtesy. I’m running at about three weeks now and still no invoice. The re-purchase coordinator thought they would’ve had it in a week or two…

2-3 weeks from week of manufacture. My week of manufacture was the first week of October. I should be picking up the car in 7-10 days.

Wow! Are you doing SOC? That seems extremely fast. Are you meeting you have executed all the paperwork with your re-purchase representative already, and the dealer has received their package and the vehicle is in transit and you should be picking up your car in the next week to 10 days. Not that I’m repeating what you’re saying, I’m just questioning to ensure that I understand. Thanks in advance and good luck with your new vehicle
Just to add to the timeline: Ordered in June I think, 2023 production was supposed to start late July. Build in early August. Took delivery mid September.

I’d have to look through emails to get all the dates but IIRC the order with the dealer for the replacement Bolt was placed in late August or early September. The manufacturing date was like 5 weeks out if I’m remembering correctly.
It has been pretty fast compared to others. It could be that things are just faster now because production has ramped. Maybe the GM repurchase department has their process down too now. All that said, I don’t have the replacement car yet so let’s not call this a done deal just yet.

I own a 2021 bolt that is completely paid off. I want to swap into a Cadillac Lyriq and pay the 30k difference. If I do this after January 1, 2023 will I be able to get the 7k tax credit?
I live in California if this makes any difference.
Yes, you would be eligible for the $7,500 after the new year if you’re selling your Bolt and buying a Lyriq. I’m contemplating doing something similar next year after swapping into my 2023 Bolt EUV so I can take advantage of that $7,500 EV credit.

So just to be clear, in California they do subtract usage if you own the car, but not if you lease?

I have 2020 Bolt on lease. I did the one pay option. And my lease will end Nov 2023. My intention was to buy the car at the end of the lease (residual value is about $20k).
With the battery recall, what’s my best option now? Can I exchange it for a new car? What will be the residual value if I do that?
How does that work? Is this some mystery provision of the IRA?

In California, many of us with leases on Bolts pursued a recall remedy option called Substitution of Collateral. In this case the residual value of the old Bolt is carried over to new Bolt. As a result, many will likely have positive equity at lease end.
