GM recalling Bolts for potential battery issue

I submitted my pics of the car and odo last week, and haven’t heard back yet. Sounds like I’m a day or two behind you in this process.

I haven’t submitted my pics yet. I just tagged one last week and she called today so u may be ahead of me

Just spoke to my repurchasing agent she was awesome! Just need to submit pics and then it’s a 3 week wait to get it. No usage fee in Cali on a lease with a SOC. My only question for you guys I just paid the registration of $600+ here in cali in Jan does that roll over to the new one? She was gonna double check.

It doesn’t roll over but GM pays for the registration on the new car.

Just got my SOC offer. Signed it and RC said once dealer signs off car will be shipped. I got a new RC, old one got laid off. Sad times, but transition was seamless.

Thanks appreciate it!

Just curious are u guys getting the free installation or evgo credit with these new bolts? Also I got some new all weather floor mats for with my bolt do u think GM would allow me to trade those for some new ones or replace them? Worth a shot?

I got the free installation. But if you already have a Nema 14-50 plug in your house you should get the evgo credit.

Check what your tagged bolt comes with. It may already come with all weather floor mats. Mine did and I swapped into an EUV 2LT.

Nice! Yeah I have a level 2 already so I’ll ask my agent. I’ll check with the dealer on the floor mats. Thanks.

Helped my dad request a substitution of collateral; went from a 2020 Bolt EV LT to a 2022 Bolt EUV 2LT. GM paid for the CA DMV registration fee but did not pay for the difference in MSRP (new car has a $2,500 lower MSRP).

The new EUV feels much more premium inside. From a quick drive of the car, it seems less sporty than the old EV – lighter steering, softer suspension, and duller “throttle” response. I found the old car quite intuitive to drive, whereas with the EUV, you have to be a little more deliberate with the controls.

All in all, a worthwhile trade and he’ll be in a better equity position at the end of the lease.

The dealer is the one that registers you for the free install or EVGO credit at the time of swap. Let them know which one you want when you pick up your car.

Nice…Just got my SOC offer as well and in the process of signing it and emailing it back.

Pretty impress with my Repurchase Coordinator. Documents were submitted today to GM financial and their proposed offer should be to me by tomorrow or Fri. All this started on Mon….After that car could be at the dealer within 2 weeks.

good to hear. Seems like they are moving along pretty fast at this point. Just got my SOC offer letter yesterday as well.

Yeah I think they’ve got the process down now. Took me 6 weeks from start to finish.

I’d hope they have it down at this point, but ive been seeing people who have been working with their coordinators have been laid off and so forth.

I’m in Florida. Wanted to give a status as well as a couple questions to see if I understand the process.

I called the EV concierge number yesterday to start a claim (I said I wanted to take the MSRP trade option, but repurchase and loaner were possible as well), and emailed over the documentation. I got a call this morning from a Chevrolet RVDC Case Referral Specialist. They said it was going to be difficult to get a Bolt EUV but they gave me the Chevrolet search website (https://www.chevrolet.com/electric/shopping/inventory/search) and told me to pick 3 dealers (1 vin each), which I did immediately. I will post here when I get more info.

I’ve got a 2020 Bolt Premier (MSRP ~$44k) with 10 months left in a 39 month lease (22500 miles used so far). I rolled in $3k of negative equity from a 2017 Volt I traded in.

All 3 VINs I picked have around the same MSRP. Assuming a dealer agrees to help (which I understand isn’t guaranteed) Should I expect their offer to be my current payoff (I’m guessing $22500+ 10 months*$355 monthly payment= $26150) as the “Total responsibility of customer” which I then finance?

Would I then get to claim $3750 as a tax credit?

Signed the offer sheet today car should be at the dealer within a few weeks she said.

Got a car tagged last Thursday, still no offer yet

I’m awaiting my offer letter too. Tagged last Thursday also.
