Does it have to do with the $1B+ in losses on EVs?
They better come up with good deals on their EV trucks, especially if rumors are true about cutting out the $7,500 incentive. December is gonna be their only hope
The Hummer EV is not selling well. The Cadillac Lyriq is another disaster. Dealers have had to offer steep discounts on those. I’m not even going to talk about Buicks.
It is going to be interesting to see if GM is going to be able to move enough GMC Sierra EVs to help with their bottom line. Just saw a few listed online for about $100k+. Yikes.
The gmc ev trucks, are really beautiful
Not a $100k beautiful .
I’m not a pickup truck kind of guy. I’m also cheap, but I would drive a Hummer for $399/month.
I love the hummer, especially the suv version. I guess I was excluding that when I was thinking “trucks”. Hell I’d probably drive one at 500 or 600/mo
Was just looking at one of those yesterday. Gross
Woke policies are turning into broke policies. This country is a business and when you deviate from the norm you implode.
Let the hacking times begin.
Those new horse and buggies sure do lease well!
Truck month
You are free to create your own post about how such policies are affecting companies. However, I want to focus on how the push to EV production/investment is affecting a company’s bottom line and jobs.
Where did the push come from?
GM has been an on-and-off disaster since the 1970s
Feels like almost every american brand car
Also some folks are forgetting how automation, competition from other manufacturers, and the cost of doing business has played a role in all of this.
Wages have not kept up with the MSRP increases, nor the overall cost of living. Add in the unsustainable (and continuously increasing) greed of the conglomerates, and we are here.
