Decided to get out of the leasing world and turned in my Silverado in December of 2024. I received my “final statement” which had slight damage ($45), last month, over mileage and disposition fee. Check was sent in and applied to the account to zero out the balance.
Fast forward to today to download excise tax info for filing, and it shows I have 12 payments left. This was a 2 year lease and I have the record of all 24 payments. I’ll call GM tomorrow, but has anyone experienced this type of lease end issue?
Finally got an update from GM—I am all set and account is closed. Customer service said their online system has been having issues and that calling is the best bet. They emailed a letter confirming this while on the call and it arrived in the mail a few days later.
