GLE 350 4DR 2022 | Good lease?

Location: Texas
GLE 350 4DR 2022
MSRP: $59,510
Selling price: $64,510 ($5000 markup)
Lease term: 36 month lease | 15,000 miles
Trade in net value: $5000
No incentives or anything
Total cost with tax: $69,000
Monthly payment: $1273

Asked for residual and MF salesperson says they’re not sure :joy:. I know at this point it’s better to finance vs lease. Has anyone negotiated the markup amount? I was told it’s fixed

In my opinion the markup is too high, wanted to get your thoughts.

$50000 to lease a $60000 car for 3 years.

Ya, no.

Well, according to my math…this offer SUCKS.

I’d just buy a GLE, they never leased well, and lease even worse now. Shop around/email dealers, find one for MSRP, might need to make a small road trip.

Well I was shopping now for gle and gls 450, inventory is non existent whatever is in production or in transit there’s a slight chance something might be available. If you happen to find one after searching for days the dealer will give you this “ oh just so you know there’s a vip package installed on the vehicle (door edge guards and other cheap shit) for 3k and a additional 5k markup” good luck

There’s MSRP dealers out there. Friend just picked up an incoming unit GLE for MSRP locally, PHX dealers were marking it up.

Make sure they’re willing to do outside financing or agree to the published buy rate and get it in writing when doing this.

It’s tedious work, most units listed on their websites are sold customer orders or long gone, most dealers don’t have proper spec sheets on the units either. You need to call in every dealer ask them if they have anything available incoming, then have them email you the specs and hope it’s matching to what you want then hope it’s msrp with no funny stuff going on. I honestly was shopping more for the gls than gle ultimately I gave up and focused on the x7, was not a piece of cake either with dealers not listing the vehicle packages or prices (or if it has touch screen delete), and same issue of sold customer orders, I did manage to find a couple avail but not with the specs I wanted.

BMW customer facing websites have been a mess lately.

It’s very barebones (at that MSRP), underpowered 4-cylinder crossover. TBH I’d look at X5, Q7 3.0, etc at that price point.

Aren’t all 4cyl German SUVs have similar performance and similar prices? Or one is superior over others?

TBH I’d get a Q7 45 over a GLE350 any day ending with Y.

Q7 55 and X5 s/x40 are more relatable to the GLE450.

Absolutely agree. I’d take an X5 if I was buying.

X5 base model comes standard with a 6-cylinder motor while the Q7 V6 P+ starts at $65k and comes with a lot more standard equipment than the GLE the OP is looking at.

Before someone starts quoting 0-60 times, there is a lot more to driving IRL than that.

Good lease?

I can’t believe this is a serious question.

It’s good for someone. That someone just isn’t the customer.

Good or bad?

Are you again applying the 5000 trade in value to the deal or no trade involved?
