Has anyone else been through the bs I have with getting a title and bill of sale? On 4/19 I got a buyout quote and overnighted a certified check that day with all forms and followed directions exactly. After a week they finally acknowledge they received it and all is well. They say it was prepped on 5/1 and mailed on 5/3 to the correct address. They can’t track or anything and keep saying give it 5-10 more business days. When dealing on phone they now say if they have to get a duplicate it will be 4-6 weeks??? 15 calls and the same crap, I’m never doing business again with them.
I had a different issue with US Bank regarding my title but it was awful and went on for almost 2 months. From my experience, most CSRs know little to nothing about leasing so many time provide flat out wrong information. If i recall correctly, i eventually got connected with the support team for their dealer network who helped me out even thought they aren’t suppose to. Sorry I don’t have better information for you but good luck!
Thanks. It’s pure crap. I paid them for 27 months perfect, requested a buyout and got it(pain in the tail just to get that), went and got $34k certified check and sent overnight with signature required. Well they refused to sign and postman dropped it the next day after I said ok. Took 5 days for them to say yes we got it. Then all they will say is give 5-10 business days. They’ve been saying that for 20 business days. I sold the truck 2 weeks ago and buyer is getting pissed. I offered to buy it back cause I’m that type guy and don’t want to do any bad business. Like I said never again will I sign a US Bank deal. To big and don’t care about you unless your willing to sign a new US deal.
Sounds very familiar… mine was slightly different as it was a lease transfer but took 2 months for them to send the title in order to register the car. So it sat in my driveway while I paid the monthly lease but couldn’t drive it.
I did submit a complaint with the CFPB and that got their attention quick so can’t hurt to do that now to hopefully expedite the process.
Took US Bank 2 weeks to process the title for a Volvo I bought from them.
You received it in 2 weeks or 2 weeks before they mailed? Thanks
Took US Bank 2 weeks to mail it, another couple of days to receive it.
24 days after being told “it’s in the mail” and me raising hell and talking with every supervisor’s supervisor I finally get someone with common sense. Somehow on late Thursday I got transferred to the “Dealer Services” dept, I guess they deal with dealership finance guys. I explained I was transferred and the whole story. In 30 seconds she say “um it has never been mailed, looks like someone left a number off your address on bill of sale and computer flagged it. Instead of 728 they only put 72(probably typed fast and missed it) and it’s in an error in processing state. She could see the 24 calls I had made over 2 weeks and the same generic replies and comments the normal phone people had typed. Apologized, called the dept and had them prep for overnight delivery. Said it probably was too late for pickup Thursday but would be early Friday and receive today. Then she called me back to my amazement Friday to check up and called the dept again and to her amazement they had not done it😔. She assured me and said she would call back. A few hours later she did and gave me a UPS tracking #. Unfortunately by that time it was not picked up till late yesterday and due to holiday weekend looks like it will be here Tuesday. So if you ever need help press the selection for Dealer and when they ask your dealer # explain your situation. I was lied to by 22 different people including managers that their only goal was to get me off the phone. When you’re no longer a customer I guess the customer Service part expires as well.
Any recent experiences? How long does it take to receive title now days from US Bank? Also do they send the title under your name or are they still on the title?
