I’m in a dilemma that I’m sure most of you have been in. I’m trying to decide between the GV80 and GV70. At this point I need a family car to replace my F150. The dealer I’m working with is offering the pay off the remainder of my lease, which is $600 for 8 months. So far these are the number I’m working with. I’ve spent some time negotiating, but wanted to take a moment to look through the forum for some help.
I would appreciate any help. I’m not sure where to go from this point. The gv80 would be an ideal car for the family. I’m just not sure what they next steps should be when negotiating.
I am assuming it is through Ford credit? Ford does not allow 3rd party buyout. Is the dealer buying out your vehicle?
With GV80, he is providing 10% discount, with GV70 he is providing 0% discount. Either way, none of the payments look nice enough to get either of these.
I like the looks of the cars and how they drive (also my wife would really like one). I know it’s not going to be a perfect hack, just looking to get a more sensible price.
The GV70 isn’t a spacious SUV, and depending on what version of the F-series Ford you’re coming from, the Genesis might feel seriously cramped inside.
The GV80 programs are usually terrible. Some cars just have shitty leases based on how the bank structures it and no amount of negotiating will change that.
You’re better off looking through Marketplace for the QX60, Palisade and Santa Fe (new body) etc etc.
