One time a dealer got mad at me for test driving a non-Msport equipped model when I wanted to get Msport on the car…even though they didn’t have one with that package in stock at the time

Tell us about that Supra deal :slightly_smiling_face:

That Supra deal was invoice I think. I should have taken it. $5k employee rebate + loyalty + US bank = 24/10 $350 mo.

That’s an awesome deal… almost like the Camaro deals that have been floating around lol but for a Supra!

You can’t see it, but I’m shedding a single tear for the unicorns gone above.

I had a GM tell me he can’t honor the pricing that a desking manager quoted 24 hours before (mid month no program change). When I asked where the manager is he said, ā€œHe’s on vacation in Hawaiiā€ proceeded to quote me $5,000 higher overall.

At least the coffee was good though.

Even I’m angry at you for not taking it.

I’m inclined to think that one can deduce whether or not you can get a good deal based on a dealerships snacks and coffee spread.

Terrible coffee and kirkland branded snacks are the land of unicorns.

LOL.

Every dealer in Central P.A with good snack spread gives terrible deals every time I inquire for a personal car. Bob Ruth ford always had good free catered food, and Lehman Volvo York Mechanicsburg always has free cold soda, muffins, and chips.

Ha ha…Next time the 1st question to the SA should be "What do you serve in your waiting room’

The closest Porsche dealer to me has no food, no snacks, and barely any bottled water. I wonder what their deals are like…:joy:

Sounds familiar

Went into lease a CLA250 a few weeks back. Typical BS 2% off msrp with tons of added dealer extras. Called them out about insanely marking up the MF and was told that ā€œwe are transparent about the MF markup and have a right to do itā€ . Really b/c you slipped it in there without ever mentioning it. Gave them my offer and the manager comes back with a printout with my numbers and tells me -ā€œi see how you got there but sorry we don’t haggle on pricing here.ā€ To be fair, they never followed up via email or called me!

I mean hey, at least he told you they don’t haggle on pricing :man_shrugging:

This is why I never go into a dealer to negotiate.

you should follow up with I will only sign today if you can match the competitions snack spread!

It sucks to get a no, but at least they were upfront about it and didnt try to backpeddle later by calling and emailing for a followup.

Sounds like they were pretty upfront about it.

Yeah that’s why I was pleasantly surprised. Upfront and no harassing me after I left. They get enough ppl coming in paying over msrp so they don’t need my business. I can respect that.

Paying over MSRP? I have personally seen that in Real Estate but I am surprised a depreciating asset gets sold over list price …of course, I am not talking about the rare limited editions.
