Hi all, I’m seriously considering buying a Tesla MX or MS, and am looking at private party mostly because of the value and the transferable perks (for some models).
Question for you all: does anyone know of a reputable alternative to Carfax and Autocheck? Preferably free but I’m willing to pay as well.

Why not pay for Carfax / Autocheck? If it’s free, it doesn’t give any information that you really want.
And you are buying a Tesla, do you REALLY want to cheap about $50 on a ~$50,000 car?
Find a friend at a dealer. They get unlimited Carfax reports if they are a subscriber.
More like $70k but point is well taken. Wondering if there’s an equal or better alternative - free would be great but I’m also willing to pay more if something is more reliable.

There are people on car forums offering to run carfax for $5 a pop. Search around.
Forget saving on carfax, what you really need is a thorough PPI.
