On the Ford Lightning, X plan is $100 off MSRP basically but there is a X plan rebate. For a leftover 23 Lightning, can a dealer discount the selling price of the truck under the X plan price and still qualify for the X plan rebate? They told me they would discount the 23 Plat 6k off MSRP plus any incentives. So can I do X plan at 6k off MSRP and get the Xplan rebate or is the dealer OBLIGATED to sell at xplan price to get the xplan rebate?
How did this work for you? Looking at a similar situation with a 2023 Mach E
Should be way more than $100.
I posted these in another thread, may be region specific but these are the current incentives on 23 Lightnings:
AXZ Plan Bonus Customer Cash $6,750

It’s a good question. Ford’s ineligible products list hasn’t been updated since February and still states
F-150 Lightning is ineligible for X-Plan & X-Plan Partner for 2023-
Model and prior.
but there’s the A/X/Z Plan Bonus Customer Cash so
Looks like MSRP is almost equal to the invoice price for Ford’s electric vehicles.
Still curious if you can use X plan and stack additional dealer discounts on top of that to capture the AXZ plan bonus cash.
This is the discount stack you want: Signed - 2023 Ford F150 Lightning ER $2,500 DAS - $485 for 24 months
Doesn’t look like there was any dealer discount beyond X plan on that deal. $81,240 MSRP and $81,200 selling price.
I had 4 dealers tell me that you cant discount the vehicle on x-plan. I had 2 dealers tell me the dealer discount was greater than X-plan (this was when x plan only had a $2,650 rebate) and they recommended me to go with dealer discount and not X-plan.
4 is a pretty good sample size to indicate they’re telling the truth. So the question is now that the X plan rebate is $6,750 are there dealers who are discounting more than that.
The most discount i found on a xlt/lariat ER was 4k then they had dealer fees, so really 3k discount
I was able to get 10% off MSRP before incentives on a 2023.
Could you please share your deal to help others.
On 23s they are doing 10% dealer discount plus incentives
X plan CANNOT BE DISCOUNTED. it is a set price and dealer cannot take more tha. $50 off or give $50 in gifts.
On 23 and 24 they are offering x plan rebate. But I forget which one it is but when the dealer looks up the X plan incentives on one of them it doesn’t show up. It may be labeled as an x plan incentive but not for x plan. It’s just a label. I forgot if it was 23 or 24. But there is a x plan rebate on a 23 or 24. I called a lot of dealers. There is no EV rebate on 24s right now. We are waiting for the EV credit for the 24s and going to use with x plan rebate and current incentives. I think it was the 23s that don’t have x plan rebate even thou it says it does. This is all depending that it’s a lease
When I got mine there was no X plan cash for the 2023. My deal is in the trophy garage to check out. Aim for 10% off before any incentives kick in.
I was quoted for a Mach e 24 with 11k rebates. Also I guess upon dealer discretion a dealer discount more than the 1.4% (xplan) can be stacked.
If you read the Xplan disclosures on the Ford partner website, the dealer can not discount it more than $50 or give you gifts or throw in things that are more than $50 in value. BUT…if you are a broker or have a friend thats a broker, have the dealer cut them a bird dog check for any discounts and pass the money to you. Some dealers would do it and some wont. Best thing to do is say to dealer, “I have a Xplan customer for you. How much is it worth to you?” or “I have a Xplan customer for you but I want a $1,000 or whatever bird dog for it” Also get the Xplan on the Mach e and stack all the incentives available to you. The only thing is, the dealer can not sell the car before rebates over or under Xplan pricing. Its a locked figure. Also max dealer fee or doc fee is $150. None of that $800 BS. They will most likely charge u the bigger dealer fee and cut u a check for the diff. They have to charge everyone that dealer fee or they can be sued. Its a fixed fee. But because ur xplan the diff will get refunded. You can get the Mach E at xplan with the 11k in incentives.
I made an offer, and one dealer combined a dealer discount with the X-Plan discount. However, other dealerships stated that this could not be done.”
Did you confirm the “market value” is the actual msrp?
It is the MSRP on the window sticker
Good luck on that when they try to book the deal and it comes back. You will lose your Partner discount ability with Ford and they will back charge the dealer. Its laid out in the terms and conditions thats its not allowed. And Ford may back charge you. And dealer may lose the ability to do Xplan in the future. This will be an issue for you. Theres no way around it. I spoke to many dealers.
