Ford to end F-150 lightning

Will Mustang Mach-e also follow Lightning? How is Tesla surviving while other brands (even top 3) are failing.

A proof of Ford’s incompetency… didn’t sell with government money, can’t survive without it.

Bold statement

I have one and it’s great for 99% of the time and with my LV2 home charger when get into my gas suv it feels frankly uncivilized. One gripe I have is that ford should have made ranger EV as F150 a bit too bulky for city parking. These only work if you don’t do more then 200 miles a day of driving and can charge at home. Power is great and ride is smooth. If these were like $45k it would be a no brainer.

Not just Ford, everyone else failed in EV market. Ariya is out of US market. Chevy is trying to get rid of all EVs ASAP.

Toyota stuck to hybrids and is now leading in hybrid market.

Here is a “current” list of EVs that may/are/will be gone:

Correct. The issue with Ford is even deeper though… they have had the best selling car in the U.S. for over 40 years and still fail to be a profitable company.

Tesla had to build up as an EV company, it wasn’t an afterthought.

Having their own and rapidly expanding network also helps.

It also required mountains of aforementioned (State and Federal) government money.

Might’ve considered buying mine out at lease end, but idk about an out of production EV. Sounds like trouble in the future.

It definitely did, but Ford wasn’t short of government money as well.

Just for the battery plants project Ford and SK had over $9B in loans approved.
