So my black diamond bronco has been delivered and the dealer is now telling me that Ford isn’t leasing this vehicle. Is this correct? Has anyone else heard this?
No.
What do you think the dealer is trying to pull? I asked the finance guy multiple times why I couldn’t lease and he repeated over and over again that Ford is not leasing this vehicle. Even though the General manager asked me right before transferring me to him if I wanted to lease or finance. I asked him why the manager would ask me if I want to lease or finance if it wasn’t an option and he told me the manager probably doesn’t know yet. I just got off the phone with Ford directly and they’re telling me this is not correct. I just left a message for the finance guy and I’m waiting to hear back from him but at this point I’m not even sure I should be doing business with them.
Dealer just trying to cancel the contract so they can make more $$
That’s what I figured. But they would stoop so low as to lie about not being able to lease?
Ford invented leasing. So this is LOL Dealer BS on steroids.
ofcourse, why would they want to look like the bad guys here… easy to blame the BIG Corporate monster.
Depending on how badly you want this vehicle, I would involve, Ford Corporate, use twitter, FB or any other social media channels to show how they are not helping you & trying to screw you as a customer.
Yea I just called Ford to confirm. It can 100% be leased. Why lie about something like that? As if I can’t find out the truth with one phone call
Thanks! I plan on it.
Really hope you will not give the Biz to this POS dealer. Hopefully corporate can compensate somehow.
Keep us posted.
They’re hoping you won’t try…
Buy it and then re-sell, just to deny them the sale at a higher price.
I hope so. I’m disgusted by them
This is a pretty incredible lie to tell a customer…
Just show them Ford’s website maybe?
Would they sell it without mark up? Just curious…
I get the feeling that the dealer is probably trying to steer you towards financing because the leases are probably horrible. Does anyone know what the “standard” Ford APR is at the moment?
I believe the OP put a deposit down and ordered this quite a while back. They probably had an agreed to price at the time of ordering.
It’s certainly possible that the finance guy is trying to say “the lease programs are so bad that they might as well not exist”, but it doesn’t sound like it. I’d be more inclined to believe the “please cancel so we can sell this to the next guy through the door with a huge mark up”.
Nah. He could have just showed him how bad the programs are instead of flat out denying that leasing is available.
I’m pretty sure the leases suck, though.
If I could afford to right now I would
