Got another dealer that confirms they can order. They’ll refund the deposit up until a vin is assigned.
They take x-plan, which means no FL dealer doc fee which is awfully nice.

Leaves the question of select awd with comfort, or go cheap with select rwd and no comfort.
Wow, that is definitely a bonus!
Called 2 dealerships in my area (NJ). They both said no refund once the car is in production and both of them want me to go in.
Anyone have any luck have dealership take phone order in NJ?
Go cheap ….
I would do awd at least. That’s what the majority of consumers are looking for. Also adds the speed boost as @Qbrozen mentioned. Comfort/tech are up to you but I added it on mine.
I think I’m out. The non-refundable after vin and having to buy it/wait for taxes to recoup a bunch of cost doesn’t make this tempting enough.
Any dealers in CA(Nor/So) anyone was able to find who are honoring the deal today?
I dont think this is a flip candidate even with the price increase
I am on phone with the dealer and he said deposit is refundable if i back out at any stage, even after car lands at dealership.
Same, my dealer just called me back to confirm some things. Said they use to lock people in but changed that. Said I can change my mind at any point, even after VIN and after it’s delivered to dealer.
They also said the Select will hold it’s value better and almost all orders are AWD.
Ford.com says talk to the dealer for their deposit policy, so i imagine it varies by state/dealer/etc
One dealer just told me that their policy is $1k non-refundable. Another is telling me that they can’t place any new orders until Aug… YMMV
This is correct if you place your order online with Ford.com.
To find a NO ADM (no dealer markup) in your area, I use the Mach E forum’s NO ADM list:
Official List: No ADM Mach-E Ford Dealers
When you place your order, you will find that at the end of the price summary, if there is a dealer markup on your order.
The dealer is saying that xplan can only be used at the time of delivery.
Is there some confirmation in written or maybe on order summary that shows the order is on x plan?
Can we change the dealer once the order goes thru? I’ve no idea where I’l be in 7 months, so just curious
Thanks for the deadline reminder @michael !
Confirmed with my $0 (NO ADM) Ford dealer: Norm Reeves Ford - sales rep said my deposit is with Ford and if I change my mind at anytime, I can get a full refund of my deposit.
Went online and placed the order for a Mach E Select trim due to the higher price of the GT which is NOT eligible for the California CVRP rebate ($60 limit).
Since last year’s $100 deposit for the Ford F150 Lightning did not pan out for 2022, I will settle for the Mach E.
Probably end up flipping one of them when I get 2 in hand…
@ful2oo found a few dealers in NorCal willing to do MSRP & accept X-Plan. PM me for details.
