Ford Maverick Lariat - Thoughts on the vehicle?

Thinking of getting the hybrid model as a daily commuter!

All I know is, you’re gonna be paying a whole lotta ADM.

I’m sure there are a lot cheaper daily commuters.

Excellent truck for the price - great gas mileage!

Will you be ordering a '23MY or getting a dealer lot Maverick ?

My son has been trying to get one but the $10K-$15K ADM has turned him off.

Since the '22 order bank has closed, he placed an order for a '23.

Don’t know how long it will take, but if it’s anything like the Ford Mustang Mach E - about 5-6 months wait…

I like it. I have an order for an XL. I think that’s the best play value for this car. That said, I ordered in October, and still no sign of a build date. It’s turning into Bronco #2. I just reached day 500 since reserving my Bronco last week. Never thought I would wait this long for a fucking Ford of all cars, but we’ll see.

Probably not going to be a bad buy if you can get one at MSRP. I bet these will keep value for a long while.

Guys I apologize for my ignorance, but what is an ADM?

In automotive, added dealer markup, if you’re in the navy, admiral.

Mine is on order for 3% under invoice. Might be many months until I get my XL Hybrid though…

So I ordered a Lariat Hybrid with the Lariat Luxury Package - hopefully I won’t lose too much money on it?

MSRP + $500, Lariat w/lariat lux pack

Seems like the only deal is if you order a base XL with no options, once you add options up the trim level, the added value isn’t worth it. The base model is the same drivetrain

That’s way too high. You can definitely get one for sticker or under sticker if you order. That said, I don’t think the order banks are even open anymore. So your order won’t even be submitted until August.

So in short i should pass on this one?

Do you know where to order without a markup? I’ve been trying to find a northern california dealer as the on lot markups are $6k minimum and none that i’ve contacted will even take an order. I see on the maverick subreddit people that ordered last summer still do not have allocations for the hybrid and getting told it won’t have an allocation until the 2023 MY. Thanks for any help!

I think MSRP +$500 would be sold near instantly in my region (northern california). I’m personally against a markup but for the current market that sounds very very low compared to most.

I find it odd we have a far better chance at a Lightning @ MSRP than a Maverick. I didn’t see that coming, but knew it would be a hit.

Yeah, it is very low priced for the specs/utility compared to all competitors (especially if you stick with the XL trim). You can hardly buy a mid size low trim level sedan for $25k msrp anymore (k5, camry, accord etc) and this truck comes with AWD, 4k towing, blind spot for $26k MSRP (xl trim + options)

Where at if you don’t mind?

Chapman Ford of Horsham PA, Granger Ford, Maybe Stephens Ford in Danville, WV. There’s a bunch of dealers on the maverick forums.
