Ford F-150 Lightning Lease Special - $202 a month

Hey all,
I heard that Ford is desperate to get rid of the F-150 Lightnings. I saw a lease special for $202 a month with about $6700 DAS, so effectively about $380 a month.
This is the verbiage they have on their site:
“Lease selling price of $65,100. Estimated Net Cap Cost of $51,840 based on MSRP of $72,850 less $7,750 dealer contribution, total manufacturer rebates of $7,500 [including $3,500 EV RCL Cash, $1,000 EV Public Charging Credit (FPP Alt.), $2,000 Bonus Customer Cash - 11368, $1,000 EV Holiday Bonus Cash], and $5,760 cash down at signing. $5,981 due at signing includes money down and first month’s payment. Residual value of $45,167 based on 36-month term and 10,500 miles per year. Total payments of $7,956”

Does this sound like a good deal? If I were able to negotiate getting this deal, is there a way to negotiate it even lower?

Why would you ever do $6700 DAS on any lease ?

I’d be willing to bet the rest of the verbiage says tax/title/license/fees extra

So then that’s another 2K on top of the 6.7 they are asking for already huh?

Agreed, that would be ridiculous. It’s just a way for them to be able to advertise that $202 figure…
But the way I see it, $380 a month is not bad for an F150 lightning. I’ve read all the cons that people are saying, and they don’t apply to us. We would be good with what it does.

Are you saying that you’ll never get that advertised price, or that you can still negotiate it further? Or both?

I would say “both”
The advertised price is what Ford as a finance company is putting out there. But a dealer can still add their junk fees etc. Also, “must qualify for every rebate and incentive even though it’s not possible to and they don’t stack but we like to put a number out there to get suckers to come in to the dealership to beat them down to just get them to sign” etc.
But also, you can push for further discount depending on how long the cars have been on the lot and how desperate a dealer is. Some dealers may not budge right now as it’s worth it to them to pay another month of floor space for the car to get someone to come in and pay sticker minus ford credit incentives vs actual dealer discounts, and for the buyer to think they are getting a good deal even though the dealership didn’t do much.

There’s a guy I saw on reddit who took this deal and was proud (and defensive) of the fact that he didn’t negotiate any additional discount. Some people…

As mentioned the so called advertised prices usually require an arm and leg in DAS to get there. Find out what incentives you qualify are and what the base MF and Res % is then what dealer discount you can get. Then work your numbers from there and make offers to them.

Always calculate effective monthly and compare with marketplace offers for a quick reality check. Anything under 500$/mo effective would be a good deal at the moment as far as I can tell.

There are a surprising number of people out there who pay MSRP (or more) because they’re averse to negotiations. Or they rationalize the dealer/sales person needs to feed their families too and want to enter into a “fair” contract.

Thank those folks for overpaying so LH users can go about their business being low-baller cheapskates.

May be a good deal, may be a bad deal. It isn’t the deal it appears to be though if you don’t actually work out what it really is.

My dad was one. He actually felt it was below him to negotiate. Some of his “deals” were breathtaking. He got absolutely WRECKED once on a jaguar he had bought and traded in. His most recent lease was like $1400/month (Canadian) for a land rover Defender.
