I am looking to lease a Subaru and in California they use Transunion for credit check. However, my credit is not sufficient enough on my Transunion. By freezing my Transunion, can I essentially force Subaru’s financing company (Chase) to use my Experian or Equifax? Also, Does anyone know if I can raise my money factor to waive acquisition fee with Subaru like with GM? TIA
I have no personal experience with this, but it wouldn’t make sense that they would pull from another agency especially since high volume lenders probably have one or more specialized contracts with special discounted rates for credit pulls.
They would most likely contact you to lift the hold or immediately deny your application with explanation that you have to unfreeze to get a reevaluation.
The only way I can see it working is if the finance guy at the dealership calls chase auto and talk to the local bank dealer representative to get approval.
