So just as a follow-up on whether the acquisition fee can be pushed into the financed amount or if it is truly due at signing…I think your special circumstance of the $4k from NJ being treated as down payment money changes this answer. I recently completed a lease of a RWD model in KS and I was unable to lower my down payment down to first month payment only. The strange thing is the due-at-signing was not “first month” + acquisition fee but some strange number less than that.
Regardless…just wanted to clarify for anyone hoping they can get into a Tesla lease and not pay order deposit + first month + acquisition fee before delivery.
