Hi all, first post — looking for a sanity check before I negotiate.
Target car: 2026 VW Atlas SE, Deep Black Pearl w/ Shetland Beige leatherette (must have the beige interior — harder to find, so I’m somewhat locked to specific VINs)
Location: South Florida
The deal I’m chasing:
MSRP: ~$39,310
Advertised dealer price on an in-stock unit: $34,847 (~11% off before incentives)
Structure: 36/10k, true $0 down sign-and-drive (all fees, acq, first month rolled in)
Tier 1 credit (750+)
Costco Executive cert in hand ($1,250)
Questions:
What are the current VW Financial buy rate MF and residual for a 2026 Atlas SE, 36/10k, FL/Southeast region?
Is there any Atlas lease cash or stackable bonus this month besides Costco?
With that selling price + Costco, is ~$400/mo incl. FL tax realistic at $0 down, or am I dreaming? What should my walk-away number be?
Any FL brokers here who deal VW and could beat going direct?
Dealer has ghosted my first quote request, so I want to know the right numbers before I push. Thanks!
36/10 is 65% residual with 0.00182 MF. But for the future you should really just become a super supporter so you can access all that yourself. Or just ask on Edmunds.
Your offer isn’t totally unrealistic. I’ve seen 11% pre-incentive off Tiguans pretty commonly as a comparison. But South Florida is a bit of a nightmare generally. Also, not sure if VW dealers will do sign and drive right now. A VW dealer told me recently that they wont do it, customer needs to pay first payment.
Really you just have to start calling around and seeing who’ll play ball. Doesn’t hurt to make offers. Might have to expand your search outside soflo though.
Many times these advertised dealer prices include incentives baked into the discount. Make sure you’ve confirmed or separated out the dealer discount from the incentives.
Thank you everyone for the suggestions and help — this community is amazing and I’ve learned more here in a few days than in weeks of dealing with dealerships directly. Really appreciate all the info on the numbers and structure.
Quick recap of what I’m looking for, for anyone who can help:
• 2026 VW Atlas SE with the beige (Shetland) interior — this is a must
• 36/10k, true $0-down sign-and-drive
• South Florida (can travel within FL for the right deal)
• Tier 1 credit, Costco Executive cert in hand, ready to sign this week
If any dealers or brokers here can accommodate something close to my proposal, please feel free to PM me directly, happy to move fast and make it an easy deal.
Thanks again everyone! Will update the thread with the final numbers once I sign so it helps the next person.
Good luck! Have you determined what percentage off MSRP you will need to land at $400/month with $0 drive-off?
Generally, we don’t suggest just picking a monthly payment out of the blue. Instead, build an aggressive but feasible target deal based on programs for the month, the incentives you qualify for, and accounting for your local taxes and fees.
For example, $400/month could be impossible or you could be leaving something on the table. What’s more important is getting an excellent deal for a given situation. I’ve yet to see AI do this so learning the basics of leasing will go a long way!
At current MF/residual estimates for this trim (~.00213 MF, 63% residual, not confirmed for FL yet), $400/mo with $0 down needs roughly 14.5% off MSRP (~$33,550). The quote I saw on Edmunds was 11.4% off, so about 3 points (~$1,300) short, not miles off.
Also — sent you a DM, appreciate you taking a look.
Atlas has never been a good lease. There’s always been something better during its lifetime. Over the years that has ranged from Highlander to QX60 to Palisade to CX90 to XC90 to Pathfinder
