Test drove the i4 XDrive 40 (2025) and M50 (2024) in Kansas City, KS today. This will be my first lease. Below are their first quotes with no negotiation yet - both cars have all wheel drive (Midwest). We haven’t discussed residual rates yet.
I’m leaning towards the M50 with more discounts and lower money factor. Thoughts on if this is a fair deal or where I should counter? I’m not getting the monthly payments to line up with the rate finder on this site, so maybe I’m missing something on price?
What’s the DAS?
Why not just get an iX for cheaper than this price?
Anyway, it would be better to fill out the calculator and see where the price should be for a reasonable discount/selling price and then make them an offer at that price point.
As a super supporter once you populate the calculator it will display the base mf and rv. The rv and base mf are set by the lessor, and cannot change. A dealer can mark the mf up for additional profit. The only way the rv changes is if you change the term in length or miles.
Welcome to Leasehackr! The good thing is that you’re asking before signing because a lot of people ask after signing.
They’re putting junk add-ons (Resistall) into the deal, marking up the MF (the xDr40 should be 0.0016 with a max mark-up, and the M50 is 0.0019 with the maximum, so I think you may have conflated them).
The monthlies on these seem really high. You’re in a market where there aren’t many choices for dealerships, so these dealerships are a lot tougher to work with, knowing they don’t have the competition we have here in the northeast. For instance, on the xDr40, I can have you at $180 a month less:
Even with my $500 fee and shipping, you’re still saving over $5,000, so I’d love to help! You can either take something in stock/incoming or custom order whatever you’d like for either trim and still save money.
Hi @Ashleigh - you were going to be my next outreach after receiving feedback. I’ll fill out your form now and would love to continue the conversation.
