I have been lurking for 6 months or so, and check the signed deals and marketplace all of the time.
I thought I was a generally smart guy - but this leasing game looks like it takes years to master. Wife and I just had our first child, we need a second car. She says if I spend much more time browsing this site and not finding anything, she’s going to make me just buy a used minivan.
It seems like those getting the real unicorn deals have been at this a long time - is my best bet to spend time lowballing dealers across the state like a total noob until I find something no one has found yet - or can I slip one of you experts a shiny chik fil’a gift card to DM me the next crazy deal you come across?
I’ve spent time on the calculator, I’ve read hundreds of threads. I usually get to the point on marketplace where it says “6 MSDs, $3200 DAS, no tax, conquest, costco, loyalty, watermelon, toaster” and get lost.
Ideally looking for a small/med SUV or med/large sedan. Open to EV or ICE. Will be a second car, so not wanting to spend too much. (CX-50? Q5? X3? Mach E? Ariya? Ionic 5? EQE/B?) - seriously, open to anything - just want a unicorn deal I can lay in bed at night and feel good about)

Can do MSDs, one-pay. Have Costco, own a 2016 Merc and a 2006 Lexus if that matters.
Naah, you DON"T NEED a second (aka THIRD car) You just WANT one more…just stay with the Mercedes and Lexus you already have and SAVE SAVE SAVE for that child… but if you really must Ioniq 5 SEL RWD would do you best and probably cheapest 2 year lease @Jeff_BeachCitiesAuto comes to mind on this matter
You take interest in a car that the dealer wants to get rid of, but don’t take their offer. By pure luck or no one wants that car, and the dealer needs to get rid of the car at the end of the month, and they call you to offer a unicorn deal. You have two hours to get down to the dealer and sign
You spend 2000 hours researching and looking at days on the lot of cars that no body wants, and contacting dealers until you get lucky and find a unicorn deal.
When your kid learns to ride a bike, would you tell them they can only feel good when they win the Tour de France?
Click on Marketplace and secure something soon. Don’t be one of those people scrambling a few days before month-end and who ended up with jack shit before programs expired.
Don’t also be one of those spouses who get roasted for perpetuity due to failing a basic to-do list
Most won’t listen sadly thinking they can do it themselves lol.
I told my buddy to get a broker and he ended up paying more in long run thinking it was same deal as broker. To save $500 from broker, he ended up paying more than $4300 in raised MF, dealer add ons and such.
