First lease offer - Hyundai IONIQ 9 Calligraphy

Hoping to get thoughts from experienced lease hackr’s.. linked is the deal I was going to send to the dealership, briefly summarized below. Their first offer had zero discount from MSRP… their monthly payment with zero down = $1025-1035 according to their sheet. With $4999 down it came out to $868/month

My offer for a new 2026 Hyundai IONIQ 9 Performance Calligraphy:

$4000 off MSRP, before $13,500 rebate (MSRP $78,195)

Remove “Southtowne connect” dealer security option (-$495)

Reduce MF from 0.00267 –> 0.00227 (standard Hyundai financial MF? that I think they added on to)

36month, 12k mile lease with zero down.

Pay first month, upfront fees and taxes at signing: $3255 out the door

$772/month

Is this a reasonable offer? Or am I under/overshooting?

Thanks in advance!

Move this to Ask the Hackers, this section is for signed deals.

Apologies for the mixup- and thankyou to the admin who moved it for me!

Discount looks weak, however, I don’t closely follow the Caligraphy.

Check out the Marketplace and see what kind of discount brokers are advertising. That will give you the ballpark. Or, just hire a broker. You will very likely have a very good experience, and you’ll be able to learn for your next lease

Have you considered anything else? Programs just aren’t very good for this car. For $852/mo effective you’ve got quite a bit of cars out there that would be of better value.

What are your “must-haves”?

Leaning heavily towards electric with rising gas prices and wanting to minimize maintenance/repairs in the event that I elect to buy it at lease end. Considering a Model Y premium/performance, Kia EV9 GT, and a Polestar 3 plus- though not sure the Polestar will happen because the closest service center for maintenance is 2ish hours away. Could consider getting another MachE GT, but we got a decent price on my wife’s, so I’d likely be bitter if I couldn’t match it now that the tax incentives have expired. Also considered a Lightning (Laredo vs platinum) but haven’t looked for deals yet- only an overpriced offer from a local dealer at $6k down, 36/12k for $998/month ($6250 rebate).

Must haves: 30+ cubic feet trunk (polestar3 only has 21 cubic ft), room for 3 booster seats, heated seats/steering wheel, excellent headlights, high safety rating from IIHS (TSP or TSP+).

Preferred: EV or fuel efficient ICE, quality audio system (lacking in EV9, I’m told), ventilated seats

Wow that’s a wide spectrum! Don’t forget PHEV too. Mazda CX90 or CX70. Maybe even Volvo XC90 T8

Private transfers are an option too. You might be able to pick up a Ford Mach E or Lightning for a better deal than what’s available at dealers rn. Also maybe BMW iX could work if you’re thinking private transfer.
