FINAL UPDATE! 2018 Challenger SRT 392 - $412/Month! (Factory Order)

Hello everyone, if I can get some feedback on how I did I would appreciate it. I’ve been looking for an SRT since the spring of 2017 but couldn’t find the vehicle in my spec, and at a fair deal until now. Most dealers were quoting me $600+/month with $2-3k down.

I was blown away and couldn’t turn this down especially on a factory order.

Challenger SRT: $49,564
Options:
Automatic Transmission
Brass Monkey SRT Wheels
Twin Center Stripes
Go Mango Exterior Paint
Sepia Laguna Leather
Destination Fee
8 Gallons of Gas

Total Price: $53,680
Sale Price: $52,000
Incentives: $8,000
Selling Price: $44,000
Residual: 66%
Money Factor- .00291
36/Month
10k Miles

Cash Down of $1,500 (Applied Towards Fees + 1st Month)

$472/Month + Tax (6.25%)

I know the MF is marked up significantly, but the $8,000 in incentives was a nice offset. I am also aware that the above numbers may look different when the car is delivered in 4 to 6 weeks. Hopefully in my favor

NOTE: This is leasing through Ally Financial. If leased through Chryslers Financial it actually made this deal balloon to $560/month.

Only $492 off MSRP? Why was it so hard to get other dealers to match?

In Massachusetts the Dodge dealers refuse to budge on anything. I’m even surprised I got anything off to begin with. I even started searching in other states but the dealers never got close to my monthly target.

What kind of incentives does it have? Would it work on a hellcat?

Probably some IDL cash of about 4000 included in rebates. Man they mark up the mf and minimal discount? Sounds like a good deal for the dealer. However, within 1% and you must love the car so enjoy it.

Not sure what the incentives were, sales manager only said it was through Ally. He also quoted me on a Hellcat, wanted $7,000 cash down, and $700/month (CRAZZYYYY), so I doubt any incentive would have helped.

It’s pretty hard to get ANY type of discount on a current year SRT. I could have gotten a T/A or Scat Pack with massive discounts, but SRT is what I wanted and there were no dealers in Massachusetts who wanted to move on the price.

So many trims on this car so what’s the real differences?

The SRT 392 has the 3-way adaptable suspension, 9.5" wide optional brass monkey wheels, better hood, SRT performance pages, premium sound system, 6 piston Brembo’s upfront, standard leather seats. IMO The vehicle just comes more equipped then the other 392 trims.

If I had chosen a fully optioned 392 trim it would be very close to the SRT 392 price territory. Also, where I live no one drives SRT’s, I see skinny tire scat packs and lower trims everyday. I wanted something different and unique.

Whoa that’s crazy for the hellcat

It’s not a hellcat. It is a model lower than Hellcat

I am pretty sure you can find a 2018 Hellcat under $600 a month if you tried before months end. If you haven’t put a non-refundable deposit you should do some research tomorrow.

Yeah I’m not interested in a Hellcat. I would not be able to use to it to its full capability where I live. The SRT 392 is the right balance for me at this time.

Wow. In my area, the 2018 Charger SRT 392 has $10,250 in IDL bonus cash. If only I was in the market right now…

What is IDL? In direct leasing?

$10k is a good chunk of change, which state?

Depends on how many cars are available for sale. Dealers might give no discount at all given these rebates.

Yes I know, that is clearly stated in the title and his posts. I was replying to the 7k down, $700/month hellcat post.

I can totally understand wanting to get the SRT cuz everyone has the other trims but do you think there might be a reason nobody has been buying the SRT trim? I just got an 18 Charger Scat Pack pretty much fully loaded and every feature you mentioned except the adaptable suspension for $50,870. My lease is $497.97 out the door first payment due at signing. You have way more room for negotiation as with the $1500 down your doing it puts you a pre tax of $513. That MF has got to come down when the car arrives or I’d tell them to keep the car. Almost 7% interest. The IDL is suppose to help customers want to lease the car not so the dealer can show you a huge discount and suck the money from the back end on the interest. Plus it isn’t even much of a discount off the car without the IDL. JMO but keep us up to date!

Yes totally agree with you man. But I’d be pretty upset to drive a R/T for $500 when I can get a better trim in the SRT for basically the same. The only reason people aren’t buying the SRT where I live is cause there are NONE available. Maybe 1 or 2 2018’s in the WHOLE state, and 4 within a 200 mile area, and all are poorly spec’d. They have a ton of R/T’s on every lot here. I could easily get a scat pack for $400/month but that’s not what I’m looking for. As mentioned previously, the dealers in MA are terrible and are not giving deals on SRT. This is the best payment I found in over a year of SRT hunting. But I will certainly negotiate for a better MF when the car arrives. I’ll keep you posted.

I contacted the dealer for the IDL lease incentive of $10,250 for the Charger SRT 392, and they told me it was only available if I purchased the vehicle outright at the end of the lease. Don’t know if that was BS or not.
