I also got them to include 4 oil changes and wheel locks

you should shoot to a minimum of 10% off MSRP @danbee got a quick offer for 10% off in So Cal. Im looking for similar vehicle and hoping to get closer to 15%, but Im going to wait a few more days before reaching out to dealers.

this deal shows 15% off, and this was in November last year before the 2019’s hit the lots. Dealers are starting to take delivery of the 2019’s so they should get more aggressive on the 2018’s.

Dont forget to shop deals across dealers to get a better quote.

Thanks for the reply, I will try to aim for 10% off. This was my third dealer to budge enough to 4.79%. Seems like a lot of dealers are being reluctant about it with the high incentive amount.

This is just MY personal opinion… I recommend waiting till the last 7-10 days of the month. I dont have any research to suggest this is better or not, but as a sale person myself, I know you will be more willing to deal when month-end/quarter-end comes around  and dont be afraid to talk to dealers within 250 miles of you.

May I ask what is the $2165 drive off include?

Push for another 1k and you should be good.

$2165 is the Tax + First Month + Acquisition

Thanks, I was thinking around the 1k-1.5k as my ultimatum to sign right away too.

Where are you. Pohanka Acura - VA is a massive volume dealer and fairly aggressive that will atleast give you another quote sheet to get your closer local dealer to match or beat.

Discount percentage isn’t an accurate barometer for a deal when comparing different msrps. @danbee had a 4cyl at 37k msrp, whereas the OP has 41k MSRP. A better way is amount under invoice, percent discount can be misleading

Called another dealer and got the following offer:

2018 TLX 3.5 AWD w/ Tech
MSRP: $42,850

$344/mo with $2,163 drive off

Calculator provided:

This is 7% off MSRP with $5,875 incentive. Thoughts?

Also includes all maintenance for span of the lease, but must be at their service center (located about an hour from my home)

now take that offer back to that first dealer, and have them give you the 10%

I am surprised to see at such a low RV for 7.5k mile 36 month lease from Acura car, which supposed to have a very high resale value. Is this the way TLX lease?

Probably. It’s the only way for them to get a good value when leasing. In actuality, I expect the residual value in 3 years with 22500 miles to be 60%+. So leasers have the option of trying to trade it in elsewhere for more than what the dealership is offering.

Edit: There’s also something called lease equity, so if you do your research you can leverage this for next lease/purchase with dealer

I guess the TLX’s don’t lease well at all because I feel like thats a deal for a 12k/mile a year… Haven’t inquired about Acura’s in years though.

It’s been hard to push it down any further with all the dealers running out of inventory. They aren’t making the 2018s anymore since the 2019 are coming out in a couple of weeks, but yeah the RV is usually low.

Wow really need advice on my deal. Think I’m putting too much down.:confounded:
