Feedback on Quote 2018 Hyundai Sonata Sport 2.0

My dealer offered it to me don’t know how much it was i don’t drive for uber so i didn’t ask.

Neither do I, but I could just register real quick to save some money and maybe move up a trim

That sounds like a Murdock deal. Awful quote. Hit up Ken Garff. They’re more willing to deal. Find a car in their inventory and work with Leah. She structured my $200/mo Genesis deal.

Get boost up, loyalty/competitive, and uber rebates. And get a few thousand off the top before rebates and lease cash

What percent off MSRP do you think it possible on a limited, at least 8 right?

So I went to the dealership today and got some numbers on a Sonata Limited With Ultimate Package
MSRP $31,525
Sale MSRP $30,743 (2%) "Can’t discount as much on a lease)
Incentives $3500 (?) should be at least $3950 (Grad, Lease and season of more the finance guy said he rolled in the bank fee
MF. 00029
Residual 53%
Acquisition $650
10k miles 36 months.
Payment $315 a month including 1st month and DMV (75 doc and $65 reg) they said they can’t do a pure sign and drive.

The numbers were making no sense to me and when I asked for the worksheet he said no. How far off were these numbers? What should I expect off of the MSRP? Thanks in advance for feedback.
Calculator

HMF money factor is 0.00060; is this a hyundai lease or 3rd party?

sell price should be much lower; price THEY pay for the car does not depend on buy/lease

2750 lease cash + 750 event cash + 400 grad bonus = 3900 (all taxable)

NOT showing you the worksheet is a telltale sign of SHENANIGANS; i would find another dealer OR make a lowball offer and see what they say…

From post 146 of hyundai owners forum:
SE 7-8% off msrp
SEL 8-9% off msrp
Higher trims 9-11%
all are before ANY incentives

Yea they didn’t say what finance company it was through. They were telling me with finance the discounts are different from leasing. He was saying 3500 was including the acquisition fee being waved. He showed me the sheet but didn’t print a copy like I asked. The problem is that there are very limited amounts of this specific trim so there’s like 18 or so within 50 miles of me. I’m looking around mid 200s to pay for it. Thanks for the advice.

if the acq fee was waived, why is it in the calculator input you posted?

250 is not reasonable; 285 is.

I meant to edit it. He was changing the incentives around on it and his numbers weren’t making sense.

Edit and if I am getting 8% off the MSRP it’s around ~250 with a sale msrp of $28910

have you run the numbers in the calc?
i don’t see 250 being possible at 28910; not having the worksheet is a problem

perhaps they added some stuff you don’t need…

Even adding 1000 for taxes being rolled in its low 280s

ok, i see it now; my 285 suggestion was 36 payments of 285 and nothing else

still wonder about the mf being 0.00029 vs the published edmunds mf of 0.00060

i follow hyundai closely and have never heard of them waiving the acq fee. In fact, it just went up from 595 to 650 two months ago.

i wish you luck getting that deal; i think Sonata is a bargain and quite under-rated (my 2011 still runs great).

Get a 60k volvo close to that price.

Only if you have loyalty are you getting it close to that. I have tried a lot this week for that.

Yea like I said above they wouldn’t let me do a pure sign and drive, I had to put first and dmv down. He was also telling me with the college grad that it’s a pain in the ass for them to apply for or whatever so he wanted to just give me $400 towards the incentives. I’d be happy paying 280 or so.

I wish I could get a V90, my dad has the XC90 and it’s great. I wish the screen was a bit snappier and the suspension was a bit softer which I’ve heard they fixed in the 17 and 18 models.

I am waiting on a v90 rdesign in blue to get to where the s90s are and i am in.

I saw a Grey one and a V90CC in black. I really like the regular V90 with dark tints and a roof rack it looks really excellent. I’m sure they’ll have the incentives coming soon.

Any examples of a recent lease on a 2018 2.0 Limited - dealer told me $399 lease for 36 months (10k miles), $600 down to cover fees. Wouldn’t give me worksheet so can’t tell exactly what they were offering but didn’t feel like a great deal.
