Feedback on 2018 Audi Q5

Received this offer today – we decided to walk. The sales person then offered to lower the monthly to $513. We still walked.

I’ve searched here and have read commentary that Q5 leases are much higher than competitors, but how good/bad is this offer? MSRP ~$46k

Keep walking until you get to a lexus dealer who will lease you the much better rx 350 for 150 less

In terms of the Audi Q5 it looks like a solid deal. They really don’t lease that well. Any reason there are no MSDs instead of ccr?

And how is it “much better” than 2018 Q5, especially for someone who likes Audi?
If you meant much better DEAL, then say so

Best bet to lower it is to get that MF lower. MSD’s because that discount is good

The MF is way off the mark. It should be around the .00174 area, which would affect the payment a good chunk. Get base MF and post up the new quote.

Didn’t even look at that, usually that’s the first thing I look at.

Salesman said it was his rock bottom, As we were walking out, he offered to lower the monthly to $513. We kept walking and he didn’t stop us.

This is the new redesigned 2018 (man, it’s sweet), they don’t have any incentives.

I don’t like the RX

We’re considering buying the Audi outright…

I agree, the interior and tech in the new Audi is miles ahead of the very old RX. Interested to see what Lexus do with their new RX due any time now.

Well I guess if you must have the latest and greatest then yeah, sure, negotiate on the MF and be at the mercy of the dealer … The Audi A6 which is 20k more is leasing for less …

I guess comparing the new Q5 to the new X3 is a better comparison right now. I do love the Audi Virtual Cockpit though.

Lexus really need to get rid of their stupid mouse cursor interface they have. I could be texting on my phone whist negotiating with North Korea whist driving and it would be less distracting that the Lexus cursor!

Ditto…last year I was looking for a replacement for my totaled Q5 (2015)…drove the RX350…hated it…though it was incredibly ugly, and interior was a mess…didn’t even like the flat seats, which CR raves about…and don’t even get me started with the infotainment system (Toyota is way behind the 8 ball in that department…I used to drive a prius).

Ended up with a Ford Edge, and love it for nearly a 40% lower payment, no disposition fee and regular gas!

+500 [20 times…]

-SUV Always lease worse than Sedans etc.
-Audi usually lease worse than competitors due to poor residuals and rebates
…w that said

The breakdown is all there for you.

You can’t do anything about the residual. Your sales tax is going to be roughly $40 a month no matter what. Your depreciation is going to be roughly $440 a month unless you can get the sale price down further. The best case scenario is no money factor and you’re STILL looking at $480 a month. So $513 is not that bad (even for a 5-6% interest borrowing rate, which is also higher for SUVS). If I could get it down to $490-500, i would be content, but its no where near a “deal.”

“much better rx 350”… sarcasm I assume?

The RX350 is a much bigger and roomier SUV with more refined engine.
The AUDI 2.0L is notorious for burning oil and whenever my friend who has a Q5 needs to make a trip to home depot, he has to come and borrow our highlander …

The new 2018 Audi Q5 is an amazing SUV. a car that handles, pulls and has a pleasing interior.

Jonathan I sent you a message on a Q5 let me know if you can help. Thanks
