Family Sedan for a big guy?

I am looking for a 5 seat sedan, I consider myself a big guy, 230 /6"3

I have been looking at the Optima / Sonata sedans. For some reason they seem to be the most comfortable to me, relative to the cost of leasing one. Camry, Accord and Altima seems too tight,

I need a lot of space for my stiff achy knees and 2-3 car seats in the 2nd row.

I would appreciate any suggestions.

Passat has a ton of leg room in the backseat, would let you put the front seat back really far

Since you haven’t provided any budgetary info, as a bigger guy, the best sedan I have found for space, especially with room for car seats, was my Volvo s90.

A little outdated but there is a list of which cars fit how many car seats:https://thecarseatlady.com/2017familyvehiclebuyingguide/

What kind of car seats? 3 across is very difficult if more than one is rear facing. Even few SUVs can accommodate that.

Just a thought, why a sedan? Your situation sounds like you need something taller. And the three car seats might be two rear rows.

Lexus ES350.
It also has a big trunk, easily sucks up those Costco paper towel packages.
The F-Sport might catch your eye but sit in it first as the F-Sport seats have higher bolstering making them a bit tighter. The Lexus ES350 is a lot of car for the money.

If you look one or two sizes up from the Optima/Sonata, you’ll find the Kia Cadenza and K900.

2-3 year old models are quite reasonable purchases now, especially considering how well-equipped they are, after someone else took the initial depreciation, and you can own one relatively worry-free by extending the 5/60k B2B warranty up to 10/100k

As mentioned above my Volvo S90 was awesome

6’2” 220lb guy here and I’m a sedan guy myself (I despise SUVs) with 2 kiddos.

I have to 2nd the Passat. It’s huge and did you know it actually has more interior room than it’s more maturer (more expensive) cousin, the A6. Bigger than the 5 series, as well.

Had a 2016 Passat and I actually miss it. One of my few leases that I didn’t want to return the car after the lease was up.

My personal opinion is that the Passat is also the nicest in that group. Roomy, powerful turbo, quiet, good build quality and good looking. Too bad VW is killing the Passat here in the US.

S90, like others have said will def work but I’m sure that’s out of your budget since you’re looking at Optimas/Sonatas and the Camcord.

Agreed on the Lexus ES. They share a wheelbase with the Avalon rather than the Camry now, so it’s very roomy. Pretty good lease, too; probably on par or even less than an Avalon per month.
