I thought the whole point was that it’s a month-to-month lease and you can return it whenever you want? Have you searched this forum at all? Return the Mirage and get a new lease. Forget about getting another car through Fair.
The app works again, but I hit a “speed bump”. My credit tanked, when I lost my business last year, so I don’t qualify.
Curious if anyone has input on my fair.com thoughts… My skeptical side thinks this is a great option for less than stellar used car dealers to move cars… but my optimistic side thinks these dealerships would ultimately get removed because the extra hassle would effect profits for fair.com. Anyone know the requirements for dealers to use fair and the review policy? e.g. Would a dealer be removed if they have too many cars returned in the 3 day window and or multiple cars have issues? Ultimately I am thinking fair.com could also be a reference point for good used car dealerships.
I just leased a car through fair.com. While I was waiting at the dealership for the car to be ready, I spent some time talking to the salesperson about the process. He said Fair is very selective about the cars they take from their dealership and hand pick the cars they want from their inventory based on the criteria they’re looking for, such as no accident history, a clean carfax, mileage etc…As they are issuing a warranty on the car, they will want to try their best to insure they are not going to get stuck with a problem car.
Oh yeah, they hand picked that Mitsu Mirage.
Yes. I would not think fair.com would have the resources to see every car in person and would be relying on general market tools and ultimately user satisfaction with the dealer. Hence my original question. Unless that is why prices are going up : )
max_g Can you provide more details about being ripped off paying $208 for the Mirage. Seems like more details about the car are needed including year and original down payment and market area. May not be a good deal or may even be a bad deal but ripped off sounds extreme. Just trying to learn. I know they are not leasing new cars but I found this lease on the Mitsubishi site which would charge a fee for ending early which comes in around $270 a month with $0 down payment and does not include maintenance.
$189 / month
36months
12,000Mileage$2,888 due at signing
I don’t know what I don’t know so please be nice.
Thank you.
I think you can find that Mirage new for like $11k.
With that kids of lease you would have paid that off in the same timeframe.
And used those things are worth nothing. Literally the least desired car in America
Then the Mitsubishi site is ripping people off too. : ) I am fine if that is the starting point for being ripped off. Just trying to keep things in perspective. The original comment on $208 seems a little extreme. Main point is to not make a non expert feel worse about something they are regretting without details to help or a point of reference.
I have not used fair.com and am paranoid about getting a lemon (my paranoia for any used car based on a bad experience) but one other quick reference point for others considering fair: Based on Kayak, renting cars on a monthly bases from rental companies appears to start at $500 a month plus taxes and fees for the cheapest cars (basically $600) All depends on how long you think you will keep the car etc.
Any new promo codes for $250 off please need it.
Hello, is there a minimum credit criteria to “get” a car? I’m pre qualified. Does that mean I’m good?
Do you have the promo code for the 1000 off start up payment. Please let me know?
Do you have a new 250 off or higher code. I am reading in recent treads listed below that there is a 1000 off startup payment available. Please let me knopw thanks Vince as I am looking to lease another vehicle.
Yes pleas share $1000 code
i will put some clients into fair cars
not the cheapest but good for bad credit and also shorter time commitments
@safe_bet - Thanks for that comparison to a traditional rental. Keep in mind we have a 3 day return window where you would get a full refund if you are not satisfied with the car. Beyond that, all cars include a limited warranty, routine maintenance, and roadside assistance.
Fair relies on many criteria, not solely a credit score, to pre-qualify customers. Unlike traditional lenders, Fair will consider applicants with no previous credit history. We’ll just do a soft credit check for pre-qualification & it won’t impact your credit score. A soft credit inquiry allows us to personalize our decisioning so that you can shop on real pricing.
When you decide on a vehicle that you want, you will start the checkout process. After we confirm the vehicle and when you are ready to finalize and sign our contract, we will do a hard credit check. This is required by the credit bureaus and we make sure nothing has significantly changed that would affect our decision since you were pre-qualified.
@VinceFromFair I am sure you guys have A great promo this week (Easter and all) could you share that please!
