Extrapolated Volt LT Deal

This is extrapolated as lots of numbers were played with to make the deal work, primarily with them determining how much they would benefit from my supplier discount and how much to kickback to me) Happy with the deal, but put a lot of work into it. Not really duplicate at this price, but dealer would do it all day long for $400 more.

What did you come up with for supplier discount contribution to them and what they passed on to you? Working on this currently.

Thanks for the post

I don’t know, hence why I said extrapolated. (I think they saved me $50, I think they got more back, afterwards agreed to drop the XS Wear insurance from $700 to $600)

I should note they also put about half of it on my CC which was nice, as it gives 2% cashback, so another $80 back to me)

… $50 per month?

updated, as left out a big thing, i.e. the gm card credit I was gifted by my parents (by making me an authorized user on their card, as they have no intention of changing cars in the next few years)

one thing I’ve learned. 2 sale prices that are the same, but one has a higher MSRP for whatever reason, the higher MSRP is the better buy (as will have a higher residual and hence your cap costs will be lower)

Also, as another learning thing that others might hit. Many debit cards have daily limits that can be charged on them. Make sure you get yours adjusted before you go to put part of a lease payment on it (in the caes of a one pay lease), first time I’ve had a card transaction denied. that was a little embarrassing till I figured it out.

You can do 1k on a rewards card. Cash back!

missed this, $50 total (i.e. not much, they probably benefited more than me)

well they put 4K on my 2% cashback card.

That’s a pretty great deal you got. $220 a month with taxes and all drive offs.

Don’t you also get something back from State of California ? Isn’t it $1500. That would drop the monthly (with taxes and fees) to just under $180 ?? Right ?

$1500 from CA and $500 for being a PG&E customer. but yes, I consider my total cost to be under $6K with all rebates (and the XS Wear insurance, I was hoping for under $5K without XS Wear, but can’t complain too much ;), would have made it under $3600 for a 10K lease)

With that said, note that I had $1250 of GM Card money gifted to me by my parents as they have no intention of getting a car any time soon and didn’t want to see the point expire. so calculate that out when you determine how good a deal it actually was
