Experiences with Audi/VW Lease Transfers

For people who have transferred their Audi/VW lease, what was your experience like? I have a 2024 S5 SB lease I’m looking to get out of and transferring is my best option currently.

Yes, I’m aware the original lessee remains liable should the new lessee default on payments. It’s a small risk I’m willing to take. The odds someone with a 780+ credit score ruins their credit over an $800/mo lease are very low. It’s also my understanding that Audi will attempt to repo the car before going after the original lessee but correct me if I’m wrong.

Perhaps someone may chime in, but not many (if any) folks around here transfer out of Audi leases for the reason you mention.

Perhaps check in with @sidzart and see if his A6 transfer ever found a new home?

You can search through the private transfers thread and see if any former threads have relevant information.

Or crashes it under insured or steals it

Both possible scenarios. But again that would ruin their credit should they not make the payments.

How is it possible to repo a car without that repo showing up on the credit report of everyone on the lease agreement?

That’s a great question. Admittedly the Audi rep didn’t sound too confident explaining how that would play out on the phone.
