I realize that the new EV tax credit is a novel policy, however, it appears that every dealer that I’ve spoken to is totally in the dark on the new POS tax credit. No one seems to know that it’s now a POS rebate versus a tax credit/refund. Even when sharing the IRS guidelines, they don’t seem to know how to initiate it.
Again, I realize that it’s new and complex, but I’m surprised that manufacturers haven’t provided any guidance for dealers since the legislation passed. Is anyone else experiencing such confusion?
