What’s it after labor, tire dispo fee, and taxes?
I can’t rotate them because they’re different sizes.
Huh, you have staggered wheels? Is it because you have AMG Line and some upgraded wheel package?
It’s normal given the crap tires MB is putting on the EQ vehicles.
Merging into the “I drive a $130K vehice but can’t afford tires” thread.
Third row seating uses 275 in the front and 285 in the rear.
The EQS is priced like a $50,000 vehicle. People are spending $20,000 over the life of the 3 year lease and another $5k in tires and annual registration is insane due to the high MSRP. They are left with no equity either. Sad.
My car has 4,500 miles (I’ve driven 1,500 of them) and all tires are about 5 1/2 so I’m guessing I’ll only get about 10k out of them before they need replacing. I haven’t bought tires in years but I imagine if they wear quicker than they’re supposed to, Discount Tire or whoever you buy from will help you file a claim to get credit toward your next set.
At least, they did that for me a decade ago, which was the last time I bought tires.
10K sounds too optimistic. Try contacting MBZ executives. A couple of contacts above, can find more online.
And if that doesn’t work, consider taking yours off before they get below 4/32 and save them for return.
An interesting wrinkle I’ve seen lately when it comes to tire wear warranties: Some tire manufacturers explicitly exclude OEM tires from those warranties.
Yep, my Bridgestone tires on my Hylander only lasted about 35k miles even though those tires are supposedly to last 60k if you buy them yourself, not OEM. When I looked at the warranty OEM were excluded.
Have ~11,000 miles on my Rivian R1S (Dual Motor). They look great for easily another 10k miles. The OEM 21" wheels are Pirellis… the only 21" option available for now.
FWIW, my Subaru Forester tires I had to swap them at around 21,000 miles (potentially due to not great OEM tires, but still)
Redirecting... if anyone is interested. Read this recently and thought would be good to share here.
I have scorpion zero at around 13000 miles.
I got mine at close to 10000 miles so I assume those tires were abused for 10000 miles before I got the car.
275 front and 285 rear, all at 7/32.
If they were 8/32 brand new I think I am in very good shape!!
Are you sure you still have the original tires on yours though?
I think a lot of OEM tires are garbage. Certainly with my Pacifica Hybrid the OEM Nexens wore super quickly but I have had two of the tires (Michelin Defenders) for 33,000 miles and they are looking great.
Mercedes OE tires start at 8/32 instead of 10/32, a lot of OE tires are thinner to cut costs.
The dealer didn’t brag about the tires being replaced so chances are I do have original tires. Will check again in a few months. I am more worried about the break pads, looks like the rims are covered in break dust. Huge difference between the front and rear rims. And yea I don’t wash my cars lol
I would at least look at CarFax or ask service dept for what they did before sale.
