I’m looking for a deal on any of these EV/Hybrid models. I’m located in Fresno, but no deals to be had here. Willing to drive and get a vehicle from Northern or Southern California. Being a resident of Central California, we get additional rebates from our air district. I’m listing the models I’m open to and the total rebates (combined state and local). Trying to get as close to $0 as possible, no allegiance to any brand. 10k annual miles. Open to paying entire lease payments up front if that reduces costs any. I have a current lease with Fiat (until the 19th) and a Volt lease (until September) for any competitors lease bonus offers. Listed vehicles in order of preference.

I’m coming off of a Fiat 500e lease in two weeks, that cost $0 over 36 months plus $395 disposition fee. I know that was a once in a lifetime deal.
I drive the new Clarity PHEV (Touring model).
Overall… LOVE the car. I love the 45 miles approx that I get from a charge… it means both too and from work each day (round trip) is covered by a charge at work that I get free. Something like the Ford Fusion Energi I would have to charge at home on a lvl 2 charger to be comparable. lvl 1 takes just waaay too long when you are trying to charge up 46 miles or so.
ONLY things I dont like about the Clarity… no sunroof, and no rear window wiper. I know it is a sedan, but its such an angled rear window it feels almost like a hatchback and I think it would really benefit from a rear wiper.
Otherwise, great car… although I bought in the end instead of leasing…purely to get the full rebates both state and federal.
I believe the Honda Clarity is the only one at this point to come close to $0/month with your rebates (if you can score one). Next would be the Kia Soul EV.
Ioniq Plug In is super nice, girlfriend just bought one. But lease deals are really bad and most dealers don’t have stock. Was quoted close to $500 a month for 3 years.
With the $7500 federal and $2000 for 2017 lease cash, you might be able to get a 2017 BMW i3 for close to $0 with your additional $5500 rebate. Look for one with a low MSRP, brand new you should be able to get one at least 10% off MSRP. There’s a few for sale at EastBay BMW listed for $4k off MSRP (7.5%), however they told me they are a no-negotiation dealership
The dealership I worked absolutely refused to give any discount on the PHEV Iconic because they fly off their lots. They were right, the cars were literally gone the next day. This is in CA btw, not sure if honcker works here.
CA as in Canada? I’m in LA and see the base Ioniq hybrid for $219/mo incl tax with $1314 at signing and the PHEV for $265/mo incl tax $1360 due at signing.
