Actually not that bad, the MMR on an EV6 Wind is $27 and they selling for $31k
I have owned an EV6 Wind AWD when they were hot and I was able to flip. That would be one helluva purchase at $27k, a lot of car for the money…
Hard pass on a former rental though. And they want 31.5
Oh yes, I was referring to the MMR.
Hits keep on coming, Rivian laying off 10% of salaried workforce, expects to lost $2.7B in 2024.
That is a brutal depreciation curve going from $43.8k to $26.8k in a year. It probably won’t drop another $17k in the next year, but buying a used EV right now seems like catching a falling knife.
BYD isn’t seeing a slow down…
Nice. Hopefully they’ll bring this to US.
I wonder when or if China manufactured cars will be allowed to enter US market…
That would be some price turmoil unless they would be hit with tariffs
Not if the Chinese companies are building the cars in Mexico. In fact, they would even qualify for federal rebates.
Establishing a manufacturing capacity in Mexico offers several advantages, notably lower export costs to the U.S., benefiting from the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement’s manufacturing quotas and facing less impact from rising labor costs in the U.S. compared to Mexico. Furthermore, U.S. tax incentives for EV purchases, which require North American assembly and specific battery sourcing conditions, underscore the strategic importance of having a manufacturing presence in the region for Chinese EV manufacturers.
I mean take a look at who owns Volvo and Polestar. Many of us are driving Chinese EVs built outside of China.
Getting crushed after hours too down close to 20%
Those are some JV Team stats right there MBS.
This was one of the last fills on the 2500 with the 52g tank before being offloaded:
+/- 21k pounds
Everything I have read is you can stretch out modern synthetics to a year if you don’t hit the mileage. Something tells me you could probably go longer, but of course the oil manufacturers wants to you change it more often.
Since covid, my car n the family car barely hits 5k miles/year. We change the oil during inspection every year. Can we stretch it out? Maybe, but not interested to save $50 and cost us the engine.
100% this. EV6 Wind+Tech AWD could be the best car in the $30k-ish area for many people in the used market.
Pay a little more and get the gt in a year or 2!
With dismal 4th quarter results from both companies…is this the end for these companies…essentially killing EV’s future if only Tesla can survive.
