Your payoff is more than retail on the car. Just turn it in and be glad you leased and did not take the hit at the end.

I consider it more of a hybrid since it only has a 25 mile electric range.

consider it the bank’s problem instead.

It doesn’t matter, these partial EV drivetrains are still tough sells. And it doesn’t seem like your 530e is xDrive.

In NorCal, there appear to be as many 2021 530e RWD + xDrive filling used car lots than the sum total of all the 2021 pure-ICE 530 RWD + xDrive.

The used car buyers who get BMW are already scared about repair/maintenance costs on a used Bimmer. They’ll see the hybrid powertrain and strike it from consideration since only the battery is warrantied for the extended period by the factory. All the other electric-stuff is just more complexity that could break and screw a used-car buyer who can barely afford the car as is.

So you’re probably getting hit with the “we can’t sell this damn thing” penalty which means the bid to get your car is going to be short at least $5k from where it may be if it were ICE. That way, anyone that actually does take on your stock unit into their used-car inventory has more months to be able to carry the vehicle. And can drop significant pricing to move it if they get desperate.

Why get just one bid? Try all the others.

Thanks for explanation
