Been a while since my last post. Considering using EquityHackr for early payoff. I paid 4 months ($1600) in MSD’s at inception. What happens to my MSD’s when I sell the car to the Equityhackr?

Edit: called mbfs and they said upon payoff I should get my security deposits back

Generally this always depends on the bank and how they handle dealer/3rd party buyouts as to whether the MSD’s are included in the payoff or not.

I have a MB lease with MSD’s and shopped it to several dealers earlier in the year. The MSD’s were not included in the payoff number the dealer pulled from MBFS. So had I sold it I would have received an equity check from the dealer then a separate check for the MSD’s from MBFS.

As always I would just call MBFS to double check.
