Does anyone know if 3 car seats (i.e., 1 rear-facing, 1 front-facing, 1 booster) would fit in the back of an EQE? I can’t seem to find an answer online. Thanks!
Just an opinion…I went to a local M-B dealership yesterday hoping to move forward with an EQE. I was quite surprised at how narrow it was, especially the back seat. I have 3 teens/pre-teens and it would be a very tight fit for them. I would be surprised if a booster could fit between two full sized car seats in the middle seat…but not saying it’s impossible.
I had 3 children under 3 years old at one point and spent many car dealer visits attempting to answer this question across many (non-minivan or Tahoe) models, so I empathize!
EQE sedan or SUV?
Don’t have a precise answer here but I did test drive one. Size wise it felt very much like my mother in law’s GLC. Was surprised how small these are for being the “E class” electric product. I predict 3 car seats is possible but super tight and might be hard to get them all latched in. I can do 3 across on an EQS suv.
Also, keep in mind the trunk isn’t that big either. With 3 kiddos I’d imagine you’d need something bigger?
EQE SUV.
Two kiddos currently, one toddler one newborn, so anything fine for now. May add a third in the future so trying to think ahead with that.Have another SUV in household so not too worried about trunk space. More so car seats for school drop-off/pick-up.
Neighbor has an EQE SUV… there’s no reasonable way you can fit 3. I don’t even think you could fit 3 across in a 2-row EQS SUV or EQS Sedan.
The good rear-facing and front-facing car seats (the ones that aren’t hot garbage made by Graco) are all rather large now-a-days.
You can do a lot by investing in the right car seats. I believe @Lvs23 had 3 across in a Nissan Leaf or something similar
I had three across in a Ford C-Max with Clek Fllos.
I’d just get a Suburban
If you need people mover, bite the bullet and just get a sienna. Even will all three rows up, you will still have plenty of space.
There is some serious advice here and some funny advice. Simple advice - just bring the car seats to the dealership and install them. If you don’t have a booster seat you can eyeball it or maybe borrow one from someone with an older kid.
It’s an expensive purchase, mind as well be sure. Also, good to know how car seats install and uninstall. Some cars are easier than others.
Don’t add another one until this lease is done
You do not want an EV with small kids. Sitting at a charger with a toddler/newborn is not fun, speaking from experience. Couple yt channels on YT from car mom’s describing what fits and what does not but 3 across is rough and usuall people say 2nd row capitan seats work best for third row access.
I mean it depends what you’re doing with it. If you’re just driving it around town and charging it at home, never buying gas is great. Would I road-trip a BEV with a toddler? Wouldn’t be my first choice. But many EV owners never fast charge at all.
Have two EVs currently. Haven’t needed to use public charging in the last 3 years of EV ownership.
Yes… 3 diono q or r series will fit generally. Or the graco slimfit lx/truefit3 will work.
