EQE Sedan Lease Contract Question / Service Contract

I just leased a 2023 EQE Sedan and would like some guidance on some numbers that aren’t adding up for me. Here is a link to my numbers in the calculator:
calculator

The $355 is exactly what is on my signed lease contract with Mercedes. The finance guy refused to allow me to remove their $591 service contract saying my monthly payment was still $355 so I wasn’t really paying for it. The other odd thing was the agreed purchase price before incentives was $64k. They actually lowered that by $135 saying that would offset the service contract.

The $591 service contract is in the Itemization of Gross Capitalized Costs and the Total Gross Capitalized Costs of the lease contract.

Any ideas what could be going on here? I have read that I can cancel it by sending a letter to their plan administrator, but would like to understand why it doesn’t seem to be impacting the monthly payment or what I payed up front.

Thanks

Are they giving you the deal you asked for and agreed upon? Are the lease terms as agreed upon?

If it’s yes, then you’ve got what you wanted. What the dealer is not saying is that they are moving things around and trying to make back (on the backend, with no impact to you) some of the concessions they made to/for you.

Post your contact with PII redacted if you want more folks to opine on your specific deal.

If you got the same deal you agreed upon, what does it matter how they got there? In the end, you’re paying the same DAS and monthly as what you agreed upon.

No major concerns on my part or I would not have signed the contract. I’m mostly just trying to validate there is nothing I am missing by having this included in the lease and was seeing if I should be looking at canceling it.

It sounds like the consensus is as long as the monthly and DAS are as expected, it doesn’t matter. I would still be kind of curious to know how they are playing with the numbers and wasn’t sure if that would be present in the contract.

If it’s a capitalized cost, it doesn’t increase your due at signing, right?

And if it’s a capitalized cost, then it also slightly inc’d the absolute amount of the RV, correct? If so, it really is possible that the additional $135 discount they gave to you offset much (but possibly not all?) of the additional cost of service contract.

Also, do you know much an EQE sedan costs to service over 3 yrs w/o the contract? If it’s > $591, then you do end up saving $ by having the service contract.

Capitalized cost increases don’t increase the rv

I’m seeing on my contract, the RV is $634 higher than what i got in the calculator link in the OP.

Yes, that’s correct (smacking forehead).

But the PPM is residualized somehow, correct? Does MB do price of PPM * (1-RV)?
