End of Year Leases

I’m looking for a lease to grab before year end. Was looking at a 16-17 XC90 or a 535xi Gran Turismo but the rates seem crazy. Any advice helps on where I can go to get the best deal and what I should be looking to pay. I am also open to other cars but looking for something similar in capacity and space.

With the BMW 535 GT call Greg Poland at Pacific BMW. He is doing deals on them. He ships to anywhere in the USA.

None of their phone numbers posted online are working… maybe they forgot to pay the telephone bill

Email him. Tell him I sent you. He is much better on email than the phone.

I can vouch for Greg Poland- but he will not give you the best deal off the bat. Do your homework-find him competitive numbers, exact make and models including VIN.

I’m not sure that is always right @Alex. No one CA can always give the best deal. But I have bought cars though him and perhaps it is just with me but he goes bottom dollar straight away. (Well after a few seconds of chat anyway)

Would the 3-series GT work for you? Someone here posted a deal that was a clear home run, if not a grand slam.

I initially was looking at the 3GT but then when I put two car seats in it there was no space for a 3rd person to sit with any reasonable space. That has been my biggest issue with finding a car.

But that works in a 5GT? In that case take advantage of their poor residuals and buy a CPO

Or, spend roughly $800 (get half back at resale) on two narrow car seats from a Euro brand like Clek (US car seats are humongous in comparison) and take advantage of the great lease deals on the 3GT

to be honest I don’t know if it works in a 5GT but I figured itll be better than in a 3GT.

The narrow car seat option is intriguing, but not preferred. Does anyone have experience with ‘‘wide’’ suvs? Maybe an x4?

@max_g do you have a link to the 3GT deal?

Search for 328 GT or 328i GT and you should find it.

Are those SUVs actually wider or do they just look that way because the roofline is chopped? Call me crazy but somehow I doubt the X4 was ever designed to be practical.

You may be right on practicality. To be honest I loved the 3GT it has more leg room than you can think of in most cars today or even in large SUVs. Issue was its not very vide so when you sit in it you realize it is long and skinny.

Btw you drive a W124 500E?

Used to have one a while back, unfortunately made the mistake of selling it, occasionally look for another one. Drive an i3 and Supra TT now. Looking to get rid of the i3 and replace it with something comfortable for the family.
