End of lease Jeep 4XE CCAP

I started my 3 year lease in 7/2022 through Chrysler capital on my 2022 Jeep wrangler 4XE.
This is my first lease and I’ve tried to figure out what to expect as far as the end of lease but there’s not a lot of information in the Chrysler portal. I’d like to know my options and money wise what to expect. Does anyone have any advice on how to approach this best and what their experience was? I’m way under miles and have taken great care of it… a few things to note:
My current payment is $644/mo
I’m open to keeping it but also open to a new vehicle/lease.
I got the tire insurance and need to replace a tire (I haven’t been able to figure that out…yet)
The windshield has cracks but aside from that it’s in pristine condition.

Return your car at the end of the lease. Don’t buy it.
Next time you want to lease a car check the deals here first. $650 for a 4xe was a very bad deal in 2022.

Good luck.

Will CCAP give me instructions on the process? I had it delivered - I live in Albuquerque, NM. I’m intimidated of my role in the return and how much I need to be proactive and involved since it’s my first rodeo. Ultimately I don’t want to get bamboozled bc of my own ignorance on the process.

Make sure when you turn it into a dealer you get adequate confirmation your lease has been “grounded.” I’m not exactly sure what that looks like, but I returned a Nissan in June of last year and for 90 days they forgot to ground it and my credit took a nasty negative hit from NMAC. It got resolved after about 100 phone calls and calling the local police department to say the dealership stole my car.

Return the lease and walk away from it if the residual value is more than what it’s worth. I believe there is a fee for turning it in and that should be somewhere in your contract.

You can check how much it’s with by looking at the KBB and getting quotes from places like Carvana Carmax other dealerships Ect. That will give you a good idea of how much it’s worth. If your residual value is more then what it’s worth let the jeep go.

Example residual value is 40k but the value is only 35k. If you keep the car you will be in negative equity and have to deal with that mess.

Question on this subject you may know the answer to, how does roadside assistance via an insurance carrier affect claims / rates, etc?

Found myself having to utilize the coverage for the first time the other day is the reason I ask.

It doesnt AFAIK, roadside assistance for mine AAA is separate from the insurance department

And most new cars come with free roadside assistance for 3 years

Thanks!

Decided to get AAA again the other day after the occurrence. The breakdown occurred in an older Grand Cherokee that I use sometimes.
