My lease matures in 10 months. I’m at 32k miles now and expect to add about 10k - 12k more. Should I replace the tires now or just return the car as is when the lease is up?
I’m planning to stick to the same brand for the next lease.

Buy used tires before turning in the lease.
Or buy the cheapest tires you can that meet the speed rating.
Discount Tire for example does have cheap tires but they are 2 week special order and will be cheaper than brands.
Or just find some used ones that match.
Do this BEFORE inspection.
If you need tires sooner, get them sooner. Last thing you want to do is drive on bald tires.
Also cosign getting cheap tires before inspection. From what I understand they look for matching tires and that they meet the same specs as original equipment. But I have turned a cars in with mismatched tires, different seasons, not run flat etc with no issue. Would not recommend rolling the dice though lol
Are we really sacrificing safety to save a few shekels on tires? Spend the money, It may just save you.
Do you have a tire depth gauge? That’s the important info. If you are at 4/32 or below change the tires now since you’ll still use them a lot and there will be enough tread to get you through inspection.
If the tread is still good then I’d replace with used tires off eBay right before inspection.
