Yes, EA account still works. I still see the ioniq plan as well.
What car were you charging on the ioniq plan?
A Hummer ![]()
wow EA usually cracks down on that.
I don’t think it’s vehicle dependent though. I had a family member also with an Ioniq plan try it on an EQS. Same result.
I never received this myself
Dropped of my lease today at the dealer closest to me. Took less than 10 mins. Handed the keys, I’m assuming a manager since I was directed to him, waited for him to take down the mileage and print out the return form.
My Hyundai account didn’t have the option available before but today it gives me an option for lease extension…but I called HMF and confirmed it is NOT AVAILABLE on the One Pay-look at the “monthly” payment of $16086 haha ![]()
Extension. Your Lease will be extended beyond its original scheduled maturity date (“Original Maturity Date”) on a month-to-month basis, up to the Maximum Maturity Date below provided the obligations under your Lease, such as monthly payments, late fees, or personal property taxes, if any, are current or, brought current as a condition to our agreement to extend your Lease’s Original Maturity Date. Up to the Maximum Maturity Date, you have the option to extend your Lease term on a month-to-month basis by continuing to pay your monthly payments of $16086.30 (may not include estimated monthly sales/use taxes, which may vary depending on your address) due in advance on the day of each month, where you keep the above-identified vehicle (“Vehicle”) during the monthly period you choose to extend. If you do not intend to extend your Lease term beyond the monthly period you paid, you must return the Vehicle before the next month’s payment due date or you will be billed for the following month’s Lease term extension payment. You must call us at (844) 363-7477 to make arrangements before returning the Vehicle. Maximum Months Extended: 6
I am experiencing the same thing, I can’t find any dealers within 50 miles of me to take the car back. The problem is I can’t return it to my leasing dealership because that’s 400 miles away. I called HFS but they were not helpful, said it’s always up to the discretion of the dealerships to take the car back or not.
Any advice? This is turning out to be a nightmare.
BTW my reg expires on Sunday, so I am hoping this can get taken care of this week… if not I will have to extend and that would suck.
Get to the next dealership and if they don’t take it say you will call corporate 1-800-633-5151 that should make them take it, as I was advised to do so when they told me NO they can’t take it-they did take it after corporate mentioned ![]()
You can also put it as PNO with DMV and ask for a one day moving permit to ground it.
I will try HMF again. I would think this is a huge problem for Hyundai which I really should have anticipated.
Don’t bother with HMF, they can’t do much… Mention CORPORATE to dealer and see if that helps then if they don’t take it-call CORPORATE and tell them they can pick up the car from your home since nobody wants to ground it haha I was ready for that action-but they did take it, thanx to my broker’s involvement/advice too ![]()
Will try Corporate next and give you all and update soon!
Called Corporate. They transferred me to a team within HMF called Lease-End Servicing Team (855-463-5378). I gave the service agents all the details, she went away for a few minutes and told me her manager will be reaching out to the dealership closest to me and discuss with their business manager, and she will call me back tomorrow to give me an update.
She also explained that they are well aware of this issue happening in California, and I was already her 3rd or 4th case in the past month.
So will update you all again tomorrow when I get the call back.
HMF is useless. I callled last week and they told me the same. Of course, I never heard back from them.
Did you talk to the lease-end servicing team? What did you do next?
Yep, I did. They were useless.
I ended up returning it to my originating dealer.
that sounds bad…
