I may be interested in one – perhaps in three years, when customers are done beta testing it and Tesla finishes the calibration engineering.
I wonder if the first cars will be delivered with working adaptive cruise control. Autopilot 2 hardware was released five months ago, and cars so equipped still do not have automatic emergency braking. Then again, Tesla’s first “deliveries” are akin to the auto show reveals of conventional automakers, who actually ship production models six to 12 months later. The initial Tesla deliveries go to friends and family, who are less likely to be vocal about issues.
Tesla’s model seems to be roll the products out, then deal with the issues later.
