New EA charger in Saugerties NY presently operating in complimentary mode for grand opening. Yes, it’s next to a Starbucks. Big upgrade for this area, goodbye Kingston.

So with the new administration suspending money for EV charging infrastructure, does that mean a lot of the EA projects slated for 2025 and 2026 are going to be delayed?

I would assume that is true if EA was doing it with federal assistance.

“With the stroke of a pen, the President froze funding allocated for charging infrastructure and abandoned Biden’s ambitious goal that EVs make up half of new cars sold in the U.S. by 2030.”

Well guess NYS EVolve will not be getting any extra federal monies, just whatever the state can give.

Our family already well exceeding that goal LOL.
I have one EV and 2 plug in hybrids.
My sister household has 3 full EVs and one ICE.

Do you have similar situation in your household?
Curious :grinning:

and the audacity of some conservative to claim there’s no demand for EV. It’s easy to claim that when you sabotage it.

We have EQB & ice Sienna now.

I’m planning to pick up a Mini SE when I can get the color & trim I want for around $15-16k. (There are some in that price range, but not the color I want). I’ll probably get a used BMW i4 when my son comes back home.

Charged tonight and all 10 chargers were available 11pm Camarillo Outlets.

I was 1 second within my 30 minutes to unplug, :joy: only got 135 kW max as I plugged in right after work in the same parking lot-hence the lower speed. Ioniq 5 RWD

That’s some precision! I, on the other hand, had a pleasure of observing two dingbats hogging two 350 chargers on Topanga with about 10 cars in line:

  • Kia Niro at 83% pulling 1 KW (not a typo!), owner went ballistic when charging speed was brought up,
  • Chevy Bolt owner that wouldn’t give up the juice until it hit 100%.

30 miles and worlds away from Camarillo.

Yep-so far haven’t had an issue at the times I charge-usually after 8pm in Camarillo, and always free chargers available , same when I go to Ojai around 4-5pm no issues at all.

Thinking of heading to Vegas on Sunday and taking the Ioniq 5 if I decide to go…

Next time just drive to Camarillo haha  what’s 30 miles out of your way…or Agoura Hills off of Kanan has another one there…

I happened to be in Agoura the other night and got lucky with no wait at all. Oddly enough, the charging stopped at 85%. Wish they enforced that on Topanga.

BTW, there’s another one in TO, never been there but see it as available quite a bit as well.

Yes, right behind Gelson’s only 4 stalls-if you go 5-9pm it’s probably full but other times it’s empty, they are also building another one at the VCCU on TO Blvd and Moorpark Rd right off the 101 freeway-almost finished, so hopefully shortly will be in-op. Still not showing on the App

Shows as EV Charging station in the app-when you zoom in
