Haha, yep thatā€™s my local EA and mostly available (unless you go on a weekend daytime)
No DrdVrgs were spotted on a Bus nor Skateboard :joy:

Silly! Heā€™s driving the Mirai now (Because obviously he couldnā€™t flip it)ā€¦but then he wouldnā€™t be chargingā€¦haha

Lol, I was his advisor for the Mirai and advised that it was just a ā€œcheap leaseā€ and FREE to drive-never for flippingā€¦ Still enjoy mine :call_me_hand:

Canā€™t be that many :hamburger: drive-thrus to try until you find King Hydrogen

Just waited an hour and a half for 2 bolts and a Niro to finally moveā€¦ I pulled up to the bolt that was there before I got there and the dude was at 98% napping in his car with 5 cars waiting. I woke him up and basically said wtfā€¦

EA really needs to find a way to assist with charging etiquetteā€¦

:100::100: - I rarely use public charging since I have a Level 2 charger at home. The few times I have used the nearest EA charging location, the longest I have waited to charge was maybe 15 minutes. I have also seen some of these bolts driver attempting to charge up to 100%. :unamused:

Yea itā€™s ridiculousā€¦ I had free charging at work up until middle of last year. Iā€™ve been hesitant to spend the $2k to install a L2 charger at my house but it has gotten too frustrating lately. I have my electrician coming on Friday to install one.

Start charging by the minute when your rate drops below 30KW when equipment is operating as intended (site and onboard car)

Wehn I leased my Ioniq 5 last year, it came with 2 years of free EA charging. Year 1 is coming up in March. I have no regrets spending $1500 ($1100 for the install + $400 for the charger). It was worth it for me.

Wow, My installation cost is only $500. $400 for the charger. The cost should be similar to adding 220volt plug for dryer.

:eyes: - If your electrician services Central MA, he will probably get some business from a couple of my neighbors.

Tell them to quote for Nema14-50 installation. Some electrician thinks EV charger installation = $$$$.

I good portion of my $2k cost here on Long Island is its a run of about 80ft of #6 THHN-THWN2 wire. $400 is the cost of the Chargepoint Home Flex.

Well, the install already happened last year
The other electrician I reached out to quoted me $100 more.

But you should have them buy a ev rated nema 14-50 Outlet its around $50 vs $10 for a regular one. Thise are not ment to be used for 7 hoirs straight at max power

My suggestion to get a quote for nema 14-50 is to know how much they are charging for that since itā€™s a similar job. Some electrician thinks EV charger installation = $$$$. If you choose to go nema 14-50 outlet instead of hardwired the charger, you can always buy the nema 14-50 outlet yourself.

This would be a good idea to add to 150/350kw chargers to curb Bolt abuse.

Let them find the rare 50kw chargers.

Thatā€™s like expecting better customer service from a government agency in the USSR.

EA has come across as a halfassed, performative ā€œeffortā€ from the get go (VW diesel gate).
